General Hospital spoilers say that for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) they have certainly been through hell and back, but it looks like they might not survive their latest dilemma. Carly feels absolutely betrayed over the fact that Sonny had an affair with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Waitros) while they were at Nixon Falls together. For Carly, she just can’t get past this. Her emotional state is also crumbling due to the fact that she lost her best friend as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is now presumed to be dead. If there’s anyone that she could use to talk to right now, it would most definitely be Jason.
General Hospital spoilers say that this week, Sonny and Carly will sit down and talk about their marriage, or what might be left of it. Of course, it didn’t take very long for fans to weigh in on the storyline. Many of them have taken to social media to write, “We could see Carly tip off feds on something Sonny might do and see the whole of the FBI come down on him.we could see Michael and Josslyn (who have no loyalty to their blood dads but def to dad who draws blood) try and convince carly to stop. We could see Nina, who is now slipping with sonny, implore Carly to stop. Carly could say NO. And the tell her she is next,” along with, “She’s a jealous shrewed who is threatened by other women. All the power she’s acquired by marrying Sonny is never enough for her. But I hope Nina grows some back bone and tears her apart.”

Another fan wrote, “The same reason they keep saying that Nina kept Sonny from his family for nine months when in fact she didn’t discover him in Nixon Falls til a few months after he’d been there–Carly has to be right, or the one being wronged, EVERY TIME. It’s just like Carly conveniently forgetting to mention that she and Jason were about to fuck after professing their love for each other before Sonny showed back up–Carly would no longer be the judgmental, wronged party if she dropped that little tidbit. The hypocrite to end all hypocrites.”

Drew should be a BFF to Carly, like Jason, but with no sexual scenes. Sonny and Carly need to resolve their problems, Sonny has to stop acting like a wimp; Nina has to go. She’s living in a world that doesn’t exist and the sooner she realizes it, the better off she will be. Think she should lose her lease for Crimson.
Don’t let anything bad happen to the teens on the weekend. Stop Esme before she gets started.

The Sonny/Nixon Falls storyline dragged on far too long!! And even now, there’s been absolutely no consequences for Nina’s deceitfulness.
And yes, they’ve turned Sonny into a wimp! The real Sonny would never let someone get away with hurting his family, friends and business the way Nina has. Nina was responsible for the danger that was created by Sonny’s absence in P.C.
I’m stunned to see some people want Nina to take down Carly?!?! Really? People seem not to remember how delusional and mentally unstable Nina is and what she has previously done. She’s a mental case!
Having watched G.H. since the early 70s it’s difficult to see what the writing has become. What is being done to certain characters is also hard to witness and one can’t help but wonder what has become of the amazing writing and characters.
And it’s especially sad to witness Disney/ABC trample on people’s constitutional rights and freedoms to decide what they put in their bodies instead of actually following the science for Covid and the vaccine mandates. And this at the expense of the fans who have loved and watched Ingo and Steve Burton on G.H. for decades.
You hit the nail right on the head! With everything going on today, taking away someone’s rights is abhorrent! Seems as though the writers really don’t care about the fans’ reactions. I, too, have been watching for years; The Nina/Sonny storyline has gone on too long; and what’s with Sonny not renewing his meds. Do we have to go through that again also?
This is 2022. Seeing a marriage stay solid on a soap is badly needed. Nina is an idiot compared to Carly and Cynthia and Maurice have NO chemistry. Let this be an opportunity for Carly to learn and grow and realize she can be her best self even without Jason. Sonny goes off meds and gets with Nina and it’s over for me after 50 yrs of watching.
If the writers split Sonny and Carly again, I will quit watching. I’ve been on the fence about it for some time now, along with many of my friends. After a while it gets pretty old to have everyone on the show switching beds and “dead” players coming back to life!
I realize there are viewers who dislike Carly and want to see Sonny and Nina together, forgetting there is a marriage at stake, but then again, in today’s society, marriage doesn’t mean much. It would be nice however, for a soap that addresses many of our current social issues to embrace at least a few of the old moral values.
Carly doesn’t seem to remember that she was with Jason etc she only wants to blame Nina & Sonny. Yea she thought he was dead but he also had no memory! Yes Nina should have told Sonny but he also was not in any hurry to regain his true identity. But please don’t drag & drag the story line out
