General Hospital News: Has The Daytime Television World Forgotten About Steve Burton And Ingo Rademacher Already?
General Hospital news says it’s been several months since they were last seen on the canvas and it appears as though no other daytime television series is willing to give them a chance, a contract and a job. In fact, many fans have noticed that both Steve Burton (ex-Jason Morgan) and Ingo Rademacher (ex-Jasper Jacks) have been out of work for quite some time now with a lot of them wondering if they will ever be back on the small screen again. Here’s what you need to know.

As many soap fans already know, both Steve and Ingo were let go from General Hospital for refusing to comply with the ABC network’s vaccine mandate back in November. Ingo has even filed a lawsuit against the network for unlawful termination. And while both actors have hinted that they would love to go back to their old jobs with Steve even hinting that other doors and opportunities have opened up for him, none of that has happened yet. This has prompted a lot of fans to ask this same question: are Steve Burton and Ingo Rademacher’s daytime television careers now over? That’s what it seems to look like.
Right now, Steve seems to be focusing on his family life and has hinted that he might start his own personal training business. In fact, he’s even crowdsourced for ideas with his Instagram followers. Ingo, meanwhile, is also focusing on his family, renovating his camper van, and traveling across the country now that he has time for it. But whether or not he will step inside a studio again remains to be seen.
General Hospital News: What’s Next For Steve And Ingo?
So far both men have not made any comments about their acting futures, which has left a lot of fans concerned. Both actors clearly want to work again, but none of the other soaps – which include The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and the Restless, and Days of Our Lives – are willing to take them on to be a part of their casts. I’m OK with them standing up for what they believe in and choosing to go. I am also OK with them being replaced. It’s a soap opera, a day job many equally great actors would love to have. Good luck to both actors, but let’s move on.
Steve Burton has been on GH for over 20 years and deserves to finish his career as Jason!! What is so wrong with that writers or CEO’s whoever you are. If you are playing the characters for yourselves or for the fans that keep your show going????? Ingo has not been on for that long and he has no story line so why would you take him? It seems he was a little boy tantrum and decided to sue ABC and make it miserable for everyone else.
Steve Burton is the Best part of GH and it is not the same without him. Carly and Sonny are lost souls and Jason is what keeps things on track. … Really is not the same without him . He needs to come back on the other hand don’t think Jax is needed. Also Britt has become a much better person and she deserves to have Jason back in her life …they belong together.
WELL THEY MIGHT AS WELL LET JASON & JAX COME BACK ESPECIALLY SINCE THE MASK MANDATES HAVE BEEN LIFTED. U REALLY AREN’T GOING TO KNOW WHOS HAD THEIR SHOTS ANYWAY & SO MANY PEP WERE LYING ABOUT HAVING HAVING IT WHEN THEY ACTUALLY DIDN’T.

I can’t believe your not even considering to take Steve Burton back! He was and still is a big part of GH. What is wrong with the CEO or the powers above? Get off your dam high horses and get him back! GH is not the same without him!

Ridiculous!! Vaccines should NEVER be a mandated law, given the current climate this is not Russia. Having said that, Steve Burton should definitely come back as Jason.. he left with class and should be welcome back with class..
Steve Burton was a well loved actor on GH and has been for 20 years, I understand that rules are rules but surely there is a way to bring him back as he is so very sorely missed. There is so much story left to be told with him.
Now that the vaccine mandate has lifted, they need to be rehired. Period!!!
Bring back Steve aka Jason with the mandates being dropped in most places and Covid rates down there is No need for GH to keep up these mandates the fans want our Jason. Back and go ahead and bring back jaxs
Bring them both back!!!! I stand with them 100% because it DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU HAVE THE SHOT OR NOT YOU STILL CAN GET COVID. But with the numbers going down, why can’t you bring them back. You could get rid of Esma, Nina, Alexia.
Hollywood has a reputation for blackballing anyone who disagrees with their woke liberal policies. These two appear to be the latest victims. Both have been on GH for over 25 years and have proven themselves as actors. Both are multi-talented and I’m sure they can make it in another field of their choosing. I admire them for standing up for what they believe, and although I miss them on my favorite soap, I wish them well.
I’d rather watch Jason storyline any day over Alexis’ storyline which has been staler than day old bread for a long time.
Vax mandate is ridiculous. Should be dropped. I am fully vaxed with booster – now I have more health problems than I have ever had all my life. Ever since the Booster shot – my health has deteriorated.
Rules are rules but the rule should not have been made in the first place. I don’t know the terms of their contracts but requiring any one to put something (the vaccine) into their bodies is just wrong unless one is a medical worker and in contact with vulnerable people.
No one should have their livelihood taken away for standing up for their beliefs and principles
Steve Burton and Ingo R have been treated terribly by ABC/Disney!! This has been made so,political and it’s disgusting.
I’ve stopped watching G.H. for several reason …. The writing and what is being done to leading characters is appalling. They’ve destroyed the Sam character by turning her into a whiny weak woman.
And the Sonny/Nina debacle is absolutely absurd! It was OK for a couple of months but they chose to drag it on and on and on!!! And even now they still can’t get it right. They’ve destroyed the Sonny character as well. He’s a whiny pitiful excuse for a mob boss now and Nina is disgusting, and she has absolutely no repercussions or consequences for her deplorable and deceitful conduct.
These writers have obviously taken a special course in “how to destroy on-screen characters and loose fans and viewers!!!
It’s very disappointing that after having watched G.H. since the early 1970s, having lost All My Children and OLTL, we are now also loosing G.H.

I think they should bring back Steve Burton. Has been with GH for 20 years. In recent episodes Sunny is lost I think without Steve Burton (Jason) the chemistry they had worked. I’m that very much. I’ve been a fan since 1980 and still look forward to watching General Hospital.

We need Steve Burton back on Gh. Ingo has probably ruined his own chances of coming back to GH. The show is not the same or as good without Jason( Steve ). Too many loose ends.The show has lost it’s romantic plots ( I don’t call Sonny & Nina a romantic couple, it is a twisted relationship and the spark is gone. We need Stone cold and Spinilli and let them get to the bottom of the mob take over.

The writers are messing up! Sonny has been turned into a wimp! The old Sonny would have made Nina pay for messing with both Carly and his family. He’s a mob boss for crying out loud! Nina has been a wacko from the start and she deserves to be punished for what she did. What happened to family means everything to Sonny? Bring Jason back and let him and Carly raise hell with Sonny & Nina!

SB is traveling and doing his show with Bradford Anderson, they are hysterical together. I couldn’t care less if Pansy Ass (I mean Jax – aka Ingo) returns. He is NOT missed around town at all. His ONLY contribution to PC was Joss and even she has been off canvas (attending to her studies I hope). I would rather them bring back JERRY JAX than JASPER. He also lost his job as a lifeguard due to his non-vaccinated status.
I am hoping that ABC will lift their mask mandate and ask SB to return (AND THAT HE SAYS YES). He didn’t have a problem with ABC they way Ingo did(and his co-stars as well), so fingers crossed he would be open to a return. I miss Jason, and would really love for him to return BUT as JASON QUATERMAINE!!!
Steve and Ingo made their choice, and now they must live with the consequences. I do not miss them at all. Rules are rules. So long, bye bye!
I think eventually Burton will be hired back at gh. Once the mandate is dropped, I am sure he will be back. He left because he refused to listen to his boss’s. Not GH, but the higher ups. Sometimes if your a problem worker, and don’t listen to your boss’s then you don’t get hired back, and of course, no other network will want to hire a problem child. However, at least when he left, he left quietly, unlike the idiot Ingo. He opened his big fat trap, to anyone who would listen to him, and is now suing the network. So even if the mandate is dropped, he’s never getting his job back, and that’s all on him. Burton has a better chance of being seen on gh, then ingos chances of ever being seen on gh, ever again. Rules are Rules, at any place of employment, if you break the rules, you get fired, and most of the time, you never get hired back. I do think, that Burton will be back someday. If not, then the show must go on, and he will be recast.
Enjoyed them both…but as my mama always said ‘ ya pay for your thrills ‘ Their talent should have taken a backseat to common sense decency..
Kudos to the Both Of them. They are Heroes. Willing to turn away from Unconstitutional Mandates, and their Salaries. I Miss them on the Screen, but they are on the right side of History. The future will show how he CDC has lied to us all.
