General Hospital News: Kirsten Storms Slammed For Promoting Unsuitable Product For Kids

General Hospital star Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) is being slammed for promoting a supposedly unsuitable product for kids. The actress revealed that her daughter Harper recently received a Blender Jet as a gift from her father Brandon Barash. And while the little tyke loves making her own smoothies on the go, many of Kirsten’s fans and followers don’t think it’s a good idea for other parents and kids to be following suit. Here’s what you need to know.

General Hospital News: Kirsten Storms Slammed For Promoting Unsuitable Product For Kids

Sharing a photo of her daughter Harper and her Blender Jet in her hands, Kirsten started off her post by stating that it was not an ad. She went on to say, “Harper told us recently that a girl was bringing a ‘cup that makes smoothies’ to school and that she was having fresh smoothies at lunch. My child, like most kids, is a smoothie lover….and damnit @brandonjbarash beat me to it and bought her a @blendjet first.”

She then continued, “Anyway, sharing this brilliant idea for the parents out there. The cup has a screw-on cap, so it’s safe to toss in a backpack. Great addition to school lunch or to have during snack time. It obviously has a blender blade at the bottom, so I wouldn’t recommend it for a child that’s too young to understand not to stick their hand in it.”

Of course, it didn’t take long at all for her Instagram fans and followers to weigh in on the matter. Most of them criticized the idea by writing, “I can’t imagine the schools allowing this I’ll be anxious to see if they do… It may take a minute for them to realize it’s happening,” along with, “Smoothies are bad for the kidneys. Whole fruit is better because it contains fiber.”

Should Kids Take Their Blender Jet To School?

Another fan wrote, “My kiddos school would consider this a weapon because of the blade won’t allow it.”

And then there was this comment, too: “This is a good idea but I seriously doubt public schools would allow this. You can get a drink top to use instead of carrying around the blender part. The top piece in this picture becomes the bottom.”
