While it’s no secret that Nikki Newman is someone who has battled alcoholism in the past, you’d think that her family members – including her husband Victor Newman and their two children Victoria and Nick – would make sure that the Newman ranch would not have an ounce of alcohol anywhere on their property. Yet, it’s been very easy for Nikki to access it in her very own home. This has prompted a lot of viewers to wonder: where is her intervention? And why aren’t the Newmans doing more to prevent this? It seems like the writers might have made a huge mistake with this storyline.

It goes without saying that many The Young and the Restless fans have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some even commented with, “Nikki should change her cell phone number and Victor should toss out all the booze in the house. Of course I know if an alcoholic wants a drink they’ll just go out and buy it and start hiding it around the house,” along with, “Victor knows she’s drinking and one of them should be there along with Nick/Victoria to make sure she doesn’t, and for their own safety bc of Jordan.”
