Meghan Markle Is Being Called Out For Her ‘Sad’ Habit

As a celebrity in the spotlight and a member of the royal family, Meghan Markle certainly does have it very tough. That’s because a day doesn’t go by that she’s not being criticized for one thing or another. And of course, it’s happening again. The Duchess of Sussex is now being slammed by her critics for having a rather ‘sad’ habit. And by that, we mean a sad habit in the way that she dresses. Here’s what you need to know.

Meghan Markle Is Being Called Out For Her ‘Sad’ Habit

Apparently, there are a lot of people out there that can’t help but wonder if Meghan Markle is a fan of her ‘sad beige’ wardrobe or she is simply trying to follow the ‘Quiet Luxury’ trend. For those not in the know, Quiet Luxury is all about clean-lined maxi skirts to sleek loafers, high-quality clothing and understated silhouettes.

Well, The Telegraph even noticed and did an entire piece on Meghan’s choice of color and clothing. Columnist Bethan Holt wrote, “Dressing in the tones of your favorite Starbucks order became so ubiquitous earlier this year that there has been a backlash against the look. In some quarters, it is now called “sad beige”, a term that originated from the trend among wealthy parents more interested in aesthetics than enjoyment to dress their children in neutral, minimalist colors rather than the cheerful brights usually associated with fun and childhood.”

What’s Up With Meghan Markle’s Wadrobe?

Yikes. That is certainly going a little too far, isn’t it? It goes without saying that many of Meghan’s fans have defended her and her choice in wardrobe by commenting on the matter with, “Meghan does wear a lot of neutrals but I think it’s appropriate for the video..she doesn’t want to take away from the cause she’s supporting, so she’s not making herself the center of attention with a bold color choice,” along with, “As someone who’s grown up here in So. Cal, I can tell you that monochromatic camel tones are almost a uniform, as are cream colored sleeveless turtlenecks with matching pants, and black tops and pants. It *is* “quiet luxury” depending on the quality of the fabric/cut of the clothing.”
