Prince William And Kate Middleton Not Invited To Queen Camilla’s Birthday Party?
So much for being one happy family. Royal Family News says there’s a chance that Prince William and Kate Middleton have not been invited to Queen Camilla’s upcoming birthday party. That’s because she instead just wants her closest family there to celebrate with her, which includes her children and her grandchildren. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince William And Kate Middleton Not Invited To Queen Camilla’s Birthday Party?
Were the Prince and Princess of Wales snubbed or does Camilla Parker Bowles just want to keep things low-key? It seems as though Camilla just doesn’t want to make a fuss out of her birthday this year as she’ll be turning 76. But at the same time, she does want to spend some quality time with her children to mark the occasion.
Former royal butler Grant Harold, who often has something or another to say about the royal family, put it this way, “Historically, it’s normally very private. It might be a private dinner. In the past, they’ve had friends and family come over. But it’s never a big event. And the reason is you’ll find that the royals don’t ever celebrate big. They will celebrate big when it’s 75 or 80.”
And while Prince William and Kate Middleton won’t be there for this year’s festivities, that doesn’t mean they won’t be there for future parties.
Grant continued, “She’ll be 76 this year. So her 80th will be a big one and it will be publicly celebrated. But birthdays are normally quite low-key. I used to be quite lucky as I’d normally be on duty when it was Camilla’s birthday. It was always quite nice that I was able to give her a gift and a card.”
Royal Family News: What’s Next For Queen Camilla?
So far Queen Camilla herself hasn’t made any comments about the matter. But it is a royal tradition to wish members of the royal family a very happy birthday on social media, which means we’ll be hearing a lot from the royals on Camilla’s very special day, which will be on July 17th.
