The Young and the Restless Star Sharon Case Says She’s Finally Getting A ‘Real Whopper Of A Storyline’
It’s about time the writers of The Young and the Restless finally put Sharon Newman front and center again, right? Well, thankfully actress Sharon Newman, who plays Sharon Case on the hit CBS soap, says that her character is finally going to get a whopper of a storyline in the coming weeks ahead. In an interview with The TV Watercooler, Sharon was asked what’s coming next for her character. She teased, “But, what I do know is that I’ve just kicked off [filming] a new storyline that is a real whopper of a storyline! We’re going to be telling this story for weeks, and I’m just thrilled with it! I can tell you that Chance [Conner Floyd] is going to be involved in it. We’ll see what they do!”
Thankfully, the actress says that fans will get to see more of Sharon in other places than just the coffeehouse. She said, “Yes! This storyline finally gets Sharon out of Crimson Lights! Woohoo!”
Back in September of last year, The Young and the Restless Head Writer Josh Griffith opened up to Soap Opera Digest about Sharon’s future. Even though things have been rather quiet for her lately, it looks like she’ll be front and center again. The scribe put it this way, “Sharon will be very involved in this storyline that will lead into another storyline, where all of her training will be called upon—and I’m not talking about pouring coffee.”
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Sharon Case?
Well, that was back in September, and now it’s May, and it seems like we are still waiting for Sharon Newman to get out of that coffeehouse. If it’s not going to happen now, there’s a good chance that it will never happen, right? Watch this space as we hope to see Sharon doing something other than pouring coffee sooner rather than later.
