The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Summer Has Had Enough Of Her Mother Phyllis
We certainly don’t blame her for feeling the way that she does because when you have a mother like Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), you just don’t know what’s going to happen at any given time. That’s probably why her daughter Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) has made it pretty obvious that she’s had enough of her mother and her wayward ways, and that’s why she’s taken matters into her own hands and given her the boot on The Young and the Restless. Here’s what you need to know.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Summer Has Had Enough Of Her Mother Phyllis
During the latest episode of The Young and the Restless, Phyllis wants to know why Summer is giving her so much of the cold shoulder. Summer tells her mother that for once she just wants to hear her admit that she’s done wrong and that she’s messed up her children’s lives so much. But Phyllis doesn’t see it this same way. The two women bicker and before Phyllis even knows it, Summer tells her to leave.
Of course, many The Young and the Restless fans have taken to social media to comment on the matter with, “Summer not buying Phyllis’ BS and kicking her out was so satisfying. Phyllis is just the textbook example of the abusing mother who never ever recognizes her faults, always plays the victim card and then plays the blame game. Go Summer!” along with, “Phyllis was pretty good today. Not as annoying as usual, imo. I also got a kick out of the line about Heather. I actually felt bad for her when Summer showed her the door. I know she’s gonna wind up in the sack with Jeremy.”
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Phyllis?
Another critic wrote, “I LOVED Summer giving it to Phyllis. I cannot stand her the way she is portrayed as a horny teenager. She screams, she pontificates, she tries to up stage whoever she’s in a scene with.”
And then there was this comment, too: “One thing about the show that’s annoying is the disconnect between certain family members. Summer is hardly played with her dad or the Newmans. Abby is barely played with either side of her family. I can see if they were on once in a while, but both characters are on frequently. It looks like Summer is going to be played up with Nick and Nikki soon, so that’s something.”
