The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Explosive Storyline Ahead For Nikki Newman
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that you didn’t think she was going to be quiet for too long, now did you? Apparently, Nikki Newman is going to take party in an explosive storyline in the coming weeks and yes, you guessed it right: it will have something to do with Diane’s return. Here’s what you need to know.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Explosive Storyline Ahead For Nikki Newman
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, The Young and the Restless Executive Producer and Head Writer Josh Griffith opened up as to why he decided to bring back the almighty Diane. He said, “What happened with Diane when she came back [in 2010], she was sort of a different incarnation that Maura West [Ava, GH] brought, who seemed more connected to the Newmans at that time, and then with Nikki being blamed for Diane’s death.
He continued, “So, all right, there’s always a way to bring somebody back to life and we already had this mystery in mind with Jack and the connection to Keemo that would be the first half of the story, which would then lead Jack to an even bigger mystery. That would be Diane, and bringing her back to the Abbott world and causing conflict with Phyllis. So we decided that was the way to go because that would mean connecting the Abbotts to the Susan Walters version again. From there, everything just fell into place.”
That said, The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Nikki will regret that she didn’t finish off the job when she had the chance to. Josh added, “On one hand, Nikki will be, ‘Oh, thank God I never killed her,’ but on the other hand, ‘Now I want to kill her!’ We’re doing a slow simmer on that side that will be building because we have two great players in Susan and Mel [Thomas Scott, Nikki] that will make this all fantastic.”

I feel the same way. I have watched y&r from day one. story lines are stupid. Bringing all the new actors in and getting rid of the old ones is beyond WHY????Need new writers asap before Y&R dies on its own account!
