General Hospital spoilers say that you think you may know her, but there’s still a lot of things you clearly don’t know about her! Actress Tanisha Harper just made her debut in Port Charles as the new Jordan Ashford. Tanisha replaces Briana Nicole Henry, who exited the soap back in September 2021. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital Spoilers: Here’s What You Need To Know About Tanisha Harper
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Tanisha says that General Hospital isn’t her first soap experience. That’s because she appeared in a handful of episodes on The Bold and the Beautiful a few years back. And while she’s been in different types of roles throughout the course of her career, she always knew that daytime television was the best fit for her.
Tanisha said that after submitting a self-tape audition, “My agent called and said I was selected to do a screen test. That was exciting but because it was over the holidays, I had to wait about three weeks to do the screen test,” adding, “Everyone was wonderful from the moment I arrived on set. I tried to give my best performance; I had worked on it with my coach and took it seriously because this was something I really wanted.”
General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Jordan?
At first though Tanisha admits that she didn’t know she was going to play a recast character. She explained, “I thought I was auditioning for someone named Michelle that was the district attorney. I didn’t realize until a few days later after booking the job that I was going to be playing the role of Jordan Ashford and that two other actresses had played her!”
That said, Tanisha admits that it’s been a learning curve so far. “Coming onto a soap, there’s a lot to learn but I can’t say enough how lovely everyone has been, and patient with me and helping me out. I’m so exciting to be here!”
