As many General Hospital fans are aware of by now, Steve, along with his former co-star Ingo Rademacher, were both let go back in November 2021 simply because they refused to comply with the ABC network’s vaccine mandate at the time. Steve went on to work for Days of Our Lives while Ingo has had a hard time finding a job in the entertainment industry.

But now that Steve Burton is back, he knows that he can’t jeopardize his position within the soap. Unlike his former co-star Ingo Rademacher, he also knows that he’s better off not voicing his political opinions with the world. He knows that it’s best to separate his personal opinions from his professional life. After all, getting a good paying job in the soap industry isn’t easy and that’s why Steve is counting his lucky stars. He knows he’s in a very good position right now.

Then again, there are a lot of soap stars who keep quiet about their political beliefs on social media. The only exception seems to be Nancy Lee Grahn, who loves to say what she wants on X (formerly Twitter) at any given time.
