GH Spoilers Update Monday, January 15: Angry Accusers, Guilt Trips, Scared Defendants
General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, January 15 tease angry accusers, guilt trips, and scared defendants! Ava Jerome (Maura West) is an angry accuser, Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) delivers a guilt trip, and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is a scared defendant.
General Hospital Spoilers: Angry Accusers
Ava is furious as she vents at Laura Collins, (Genie Francis) “why would I do that”?! Laura is probably trying to talk her into a last minute reconsideration of the charges she filed for Esme’s breaking and entering into Wyndemere.
Ava may have had an ulterior motive for the charges, since Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) had wanted her to help him off Esme. Ava wanted Esme unavailable to Nikolas but not gone for good.
Ava’s not going to drop the charges most likely although she might push for Spring Ridge instead of Pentonville. She wants her punished for Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) sake but not too harshly for Ace’s.
GH Spoilers: Hospital Visit
Meanwhile, at GH Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) gets a surprising visitor, one who he seems pleased to see. He calls out, “look what we have here”!
This must be Nina who was at the nurses’ station as Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) stood out of her sight. Nina’s there to try and make a deal with Cyrus to drop the charges for assault that he filed against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
She headed to GH right after Ava told her Sonny had been arrested for beating up an unarmed Cyrus.
General Hospital Spoilers: Daughter’s Support
Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) is likely with Sonny as she says “this is exactly where I need to be right now”. If she doesn’t know about the arrest, she certainly knows about the big breakup with Nina and the betrayal by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Everyone from Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) are egging Sonny on to hurry up and divorce Nina.
Even though Nina has few supporters, Sonny has many and Kristina is one of them. She’ll support whatever he decides concerning Nina.
GH Spoilers: Martin Gray Tries To Guilt Trip His Opponent
It looks like Esme’s case is being prosecuted by the assistant district attorney, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) and Esme’s being defended by Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight).
Martin may have heard something about the surrogacy case, likely through Kristina as it looks like he’s trying to guilt trip her about Esme being a mom.
Martin is in the courtroom as he approaches Molly, asking if she’s sure she wants to get that conviction under these circumstances? After all, if Molly wants to be a mom so bad, why would she take Ace Prince-Cassdine’s (Joey and Jay Clay) mom away from him?
General Hospital Spoilers: Guilt Trips
Martin’s not the only one delivering guilt trips, as Nina dares Cyrus to prove it if he’s truly sorry! She may well guilt trip the supposedly redeemed man of God with a little scripture-slinging of her own!
He already turned his other cheek and Sonny almost broke it, so maybe she’ll go for “faith without works is dead”.
Sonny had taunted Cyrus to fight back and he wouldn’t, maybe if he had he wouldn’t be in the hospital. Perhaps Nina will come back with “forgive your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you?”
GH Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos Reconsiders
If Kristina is with Sonny, she may be the one he asks if she trusts him. Someone who counts in his life will say something that makes him reconsider telling Dex to put a hit on Cyrus.
Sonny wanted to get rid of the charges by getting rid of the witness, which in this case is the same as the victim. But will Sonny be able to call off the hit in time before Dex completes it? He’s just waiting for Nina to get done talking to Cyrus!
General Hospital Spoilers: Scared Defendant
In the meantime, Esme’s in court and she’s a very scared defendant. Does Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) make it to the courthouse with Ace like he promised, or is she more scared because he hasn’t and she’s asked for her plea? Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) showed up at the door and delayed him, right after he sent Ace’s nanny home.
This was after he told Ava he was saying goodbye to her and Port Charles again-was he lying or did he simply change his mind? Hopefully for Esme, Martin’s guilt trip on Molly did some good.
