General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease now that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) owns and runs Kelly’s, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) could decide Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) should have a new career. Dex likes to cook and he’s good at it, so she might push him away from working for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in favor of being Kelly’s new head chef.
General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Spencer Has Big Plans For Kelly’s
Although Carly doesn’t want to turn Kelly’s into the Metro Court or Port Charles Grille, she does want to make some improvements, and one of them might be more menu offerings. With the Floating Rib having been destroyed, there’s really not a totally family friendly place for people to eat except Kelly’s, and she’s not adding liquor. Charlie’s Pub and every other place in Port Charles has liquor except Kelly’s and she is keeping it that way, although she wants to have more offerings than sandwiches and pie.
When her great aunt Ruby Anderson (Norma Connolly) was running Kelly’s way back when, it was the place to go in Port Charles. But over the years, with more and fancier places and more fancy people, it’s popularity has decreased-Carly wants to change that and bring it back to its glory days, with improvements.
GH Spoilers: Adding To The Menu
Once Josslyn realizes that Carly isn’t selling the family home but has bought the family legacy business from Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) she has a bright idea. Carly shares her plans for Kelly’s with Josslyn and mentions expanding the menu, although the legacy favorites will remain.
Although loyal years-long customers still come for the BLTs and pie and other longtime menu items, Carly wants to draw some new customers to try Kelly’s. She hopes to make it as popular as the Metro Court which she made into a moneymaker, and feels she can with Kelly’s too. Although she doesn’t plan on making it into another Floating Rib, she might add some ribs and barbecue as well as other things no one else serves anymore.
General Hospital Spoilers: Josslyn Jacks’ Bright Idea
If Carly’s adding new items to the menu, she’ll need more than a short order cook who can flip burgers and make sandwiches-and that’s where Dex could come in. Dex has the skills of a restaurant chef, having made one of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) favorite recipes and impressing him with it-but Sonny doesn’t want him to cook! Sonny wants Dex to kill if necessary, taking Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) place as his enforcer.
Josslyn wants Dex as far away from Sonny and his world as he can possibly get, but he needs a job. She’ll try to convince him and her mother that Kelly’s needs a chef, and Dex would be the best one for the job.
