Royal Family News: Is Kate Middleton Becoming A Royal Rebel?
According to Page Six, some eagle-eyed fans noticed that the Princess of Wales was wearing what looked like red nail polish during her Easter outing with the rest of the royal family. This is the first time she’s ever worn red on her fingernails since she married Prince William back in 2011.
While there are no official rules (or even an official rule book) when it comes to what the royals can or cannot wear, it’s always been said that Queen Elizabeth preferred more neutral colors herself and that she expected the same from others. In fact, one of her favorite colors was Essie’s pale pink Ballet Slippers polish, which Meghan Markle is known to have worn as well. The Duchess of Sussex also made headlines when she wore black nail polish back in 2019 when she was pregnant with her son Archie.

Now, as far as why Kate Middleton became a rebel with her royal red this past weekend, no one really knows. But it does seem like she’s trying to send a message to all of the royal critics out there and that message might be that she really doesn’t care what people think of her nail polish colors anymore.
