The Bold and the Beautiful Close To Beating The Young And The Restless In The Ratings War

Genoa City needs to watch their back. That’s because it looks like The Bold and the Beautiful, which traditionally seems to be the number two soap in the daytime television world, has been making some significant gains in the ratings war lately. Here’s what you need to know.

The Bold and the Beautiful Close To Beating The Young And The Restless In The Ratings War

According to reports, The Bold and the Beautiful is inching closer and closer to The Young and the Restless in the weekly ratings. Just last week B&B scored 2.918 million viewers while The Young and the Restless clocked in about 3.048 million. Talk about a super close race!

Of course, both fans and critics sure have had a lot to say about The Bold and the Beautiful getting so close to The Young and the Restless in the ratings. Some have taken to social media to write comments such as, “B&B is exciting one week and stupidly dull the next. This past week was that case and I’m sure the ratings next week will show that. By “killing off” Li, even if she ends up alive, continues the stupidity of every character and writers in forcing us to sit through Sheila arguing w/herself in a small room filled with several characters and cops but no one being the wiser,” along with, “B&B has been pure fire for months now! I thought it would drag with JMW on maternity leave but Li and Sheila brought it bigtime and Quinn has stolen the show. There have been multiple storylines with huge twists going on at once. Now this is a soap!”

The Bold and the Beautiful Is Winning More Fans By The Week

Another critic pointed out, “ find the Y&R numbers interesting as it’s pretty good right now. Diane’s return has been fantastic, the Newmans are trucking along and the new Summer is working out okay. Hope it’s not racism with the showcasing of Lily and Devon. That said, I don’t think they are showcased any more than the other characters. I love Lily but have always been “meh” about Devon and his portrayer. Right now I would say Jack/Phyllis/Diane are the characters being showcased.”

In the meantime, let us know what you think by leaving us a line with your thoughts in our comments section below. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on the CBS network. Check your local listings for times.
