The Young and the Restless News: Did Doug Davidson Just Take A Swipe At His Former Employer?

The Young and the Restless news says that either someone is very bitter about not being on the show anymore or he might have a legitimate reason to be upset. Either way, taking your frustrations out on social media – and especially at your former employer – is never a good look. In fact, a lot of fans couldn’t help but notice that Doug Davidson seemingly took a swipe at the producers of The Young and the Restless in just one tweet. Here’s what you need to know.

The Young and the Restless News: Did Doug Davidson Just Take A Swipe At His Former Employer?

Doug, who has made it clear for years that he’s been none too pleased over the fact that he was never put on contract at The Young and the Restless in recent years and that he was even let go, seemingly threw shade at the soap in just one tweet. This came after another member of the Genoa City Police Department, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) was killed off on the show.

The fan wrote, “Jordi, no one’s ass is safe on the show. The young and the restless has the worse reputation for getting rid of good actors without notice.I’m sorry that it happened to you as well.Good luck in the future. You’re a great actor. Good things will happen for you.”

The Young and the Restless News: Should Doug Speak Up?

Yikes! Back in March, some fans were urging producers to replace Jordi with Doug. Many comments included, “Does the executive producer even have Twitter? Do they read what the fans are saying? I don’t think we’ve ever had to work this hard to get someone back on a show who definitely is missed and deserves to be there. I’ll just go back to banging my head against a wall now..” along with, “I wonder if the parting of ways had to do with a refusal to get vaccinated. It happened publicly with Steve Burton and GH. Y&R is very tight lipped when it comes to behind the scenes matters. We would only know about it if the actors share and Doug hasn’t said a word.”
