The Young and the Restless News: Richard Burgi Fired Over COVID-19 Protocols – Is There More To The Story?
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Richard Burgi has departed the show and now he’s revealed the reason behind it. The actor played Ashland Locke on the hit CBS soap but says that he was let go after he failed to comply with the CDC guidelines in regards to COVID-19. Here’s what you need to know.
The Young and the Restless News: Richard Burgi Fired Over COVID-19 Protocols
Richard wrote on his Instagram account, “I showed up to work and it was not within the show’s guidelines, which was a ten-day protocol, so I inadvertently violated the show’s COVID rules and protocols. I felt terrible about it, I still do. It bothers me mightily but I respect whatever the show’s decision is.”
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for fans to weigh in on the matter. Some of them think there might be more than what Richard is offering. Many of them wrote on social media, “There has to be more to this because most people would tell there boss after being out of work in general for ex ( surgery, maternity leave, and yes now Covid) that they would be returning on a specific day. So his boss should have said no Richard you need to quarantine for another 5 days per our policy. So there’s definitely more to this. Even if he showed up they should have said you need to quarantine another 5 days. So this is bull s__t! Richard was so great in that part! The world should boycott this show until they bring him back! So sorry for you Richard!!!!”
The Young and the Restless News: Is There More To The Story?
Another fan wrote, “I agree. There is something we don’t know. None of this story makes any sense. Maybe he refused to get vaccinated and doesn’t want to say that but there’s something fishy. I really like him in the role and he has chemistry with Victoria. I love Robert Newman but he’s too old for her.”
So far neither CBS nor Sony have made any comments about the matter, but it seems like fans from all over believe there must be “more to the story” than what Richard is so far offering. Do you agree?
