In other words, she doesn’t want to be the smiling First Lady that just sits there and waves to everyone on command. Instead, she wants to be the kind of First Lady that history is going to remember and in a positive light, too.
But that simply isn’t going to happen with her husband by her side. That’s because Donald Trump is the kind of guy that doesn’t share the spotlight. Sure, there’s no doubt that he loves his wife and supports her and wants her to be just as successful, but only to a certain extent.
To put it bluntly, Trump is the kind of person who wants to be the center of attention, even when he’s not. And when someone as beautiful and smart as his wife is getting that kind of attention that he thinks he deserves, then that’s when others around him start feeling a little pushback.
And that clearly seems to be the case with Melania right now. She’s wanting to advocate for displaced children in wartorn areas. She’s also pushing for higher education standards in American schools.
What’s Next For Melania Trump?
But each time Melania makes the headlines for something positive, Donald Trump has to do something to turn around and make it all about him. And for the First Lady, she’s just had enough of it.
That’s why she’s done playing her husband’s chosen role for her. She doesn’t want to just be the supportive wife. She always wants to be her own kind of leader, even if that means she’s going to have to step out from her husband’s circle.
So far Melania Trump herself has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.
After all, if there’s anything that we’ve learned about Melania over the years, it’s that she would rather keep quiet than risk being criticized even more, and especially while in the spotlight.
