General Hospital Spoilers: The Fans Are Calling Alexis Out for Her Hypocrisy — Is She in the Wrong?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is under fire from fans for her hypocritical rant against Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison).

Furious over Drew’s decision to move to Washington, D.C. with Emily ‘Scout’ Corinthos (Cosette Abinante) after sleeping with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), his nephew’s wife, and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Willow’s mother, Alexis vented to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), exclaiming, “Who does that?”

Yet, fans point out Alexis’ own messy past — sleeping with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) during his marriage to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and her late daughter Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) affairs with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). Is Alexis the pot calling the kettle black?

Alexis’ Rant Ignites Fan Backlash

Alexis’ tirade to Jason about Drew’s moral failings has fans clapping back with accusations of hypocrisy. GH fans recall Sam’s affair with Sonny, Alexis’ baby daddy to Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi), and her fling with Ric while Alexis was still married to him, not to mention Alexis’ own tryst with Ned during his marriage.

Drew’s move to D.C. with Scout stings, but the fans think Alexis went a little too far this time. Frankly, no one is standing up to defend Drew, but she put her foot in her mouth.

Is Alexis justified in her anger, or does her past make her judgment laughable?

The Past Haunts Alexis’ Judgment

The drama unfolded as Alexis doubled down on her scorn for Drew’s choices, unaware fans are dissecting her own history.

Her indignation over Drew’s affairs mirrors her own tangled web — Sam’s betrayals and her Ned fling cast a long shadow.

Facebook was ablaze with fans questioning if Alexis’ selective memory will backfire, especially with Kristina caught in Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) blackmail. Will Alexis be forced to face her hypocrisy, or dig in deeper?

Can Alexis Redeem Her Moral High Ground?

With Alexis’ hypocrisy under scrutiny, the fans are wondering whether she can justify her stance or crumble under fan criticism.

Will her fight to keep Scout in Port Charles outweigh her past? Will Alexis’ harsh words about Drew make their way back to him if she doesn’t button it up and watch what she is saying and to whom? We might want some accountability on Alexis, but that doesn’t mean anyone is eager to see Drew rip Scout away from her family.

At the same time, we wouldn’t be sad to see him go. Is Alexis too blind to her flaws to watch her back and ensure she doesn’t slip up and fall prey to Drew’s schemes? Keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers to find out.

I’m no fan of Alexis, but she hasn’t done anything as awful as Drew. Who in that town hasn’t had an affair? And what does Sam’s fling with Sonny, or sleeping with Ric, have to do with Alexis’s past indiscretions? Sam was a grown woman and her and Alexis couldn’t stand each other. It’s not like Alexis could control her. And she never tried to take Kristina and Molly out of state, either. So Sam’s dalliances with Sonny and Ric have no relevance when talking about, or comparipng it to Drew’s shenanigans.

Yes Alexis’ actions is as the pot calling the kettle black, but in this case regardless of what she has done she has the interest of her grandchild at the top of her agenda. Anyone viewing GH in the last year know Drew is not a viable person to be in control of Scout’s life and I give Alexis kudos for her actions. After all of the two people who could be Scout’s guardian, Alexis is the best person (sad, but true).
