General Hospital Spoilers: Drew’s Quickie Marriage Plot-What Are His Ulterior Motives?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) quickie marriage plot can’t just be taken at face value-Drew does nothing without hidden reasons. What are his ulterior motives for rushing an unstable Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) into marriage?
What Did Willow Sign That Nina Was Unable To Retrieve From Drew’s Safe?
Viewers will remember a few months back that Willow signed some paperwork Drew had prepared, without Willow really reading what she was signing, she trusted him so implicitly.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) tried to get the paperwork from the safe, but was unable to, being interrupted by Drew’s return back to his house.
The subject of that legal paperwork was never revisited, although supposedly it was guardianship papers of Willow’s children should something happen to her, it’s unknown if it included Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante).
It would have made sense for the paperwork to include Willow’s guardianship of Scout as well, should something happen to Drew. However, at the time they were signed Willow was still legally married to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
The Situation Has Changed-Divorce Final, Custody Granted Michael
Drew isn’t hiding the fact that he wants to get married so Willow can get her children back from Michael, who has sole custody-a situation changed since the paperwork was drawn up.
Michael wasn’t an issue when those papers were signed, he was still in the clinic in Baden-Baden recovering, it was unknown how long he’d be there. Drew never anticipated the court taking Wiley and Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Serenity and Sequoia Mork-Macko) from Willow.
But one thing he does know is if he and she aren’t married, he has no legal standing in anything regarding Willow-he realized that at the hospital when he was denied visitation.
So as Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) advised him, being a married couple strengthens the chances of regaining Willow’s custody of the children-and Drew’s legal rights over his wife!
Drew Hates Michael, And He Hates Jason-And He Wants Revenge
Everything from Drew dumping Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returned to stealing Michael’s wife stems from his jealousy of the Quartermaines and his hatred of Michael and Jason.
Drew very well may simply be using Willow as a tool to take everything they have away from them, including Quartermaine-connected children! And Drew wants revenge-even though it’s no one’s fault Drew wound up in a series of foster homes-except Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills).
But Drew doesn’t even know anything about that-only that he was the unwanted twin of an affair Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) had with Susan Moore (Gail Ramsey).
It’s his jealousy that drives him to marry Willow quickly, and once he has her, he has legal power over her-there’s no telling what he might do!
