General Hospital Spoilers: More Leverage, Confrontational Clashes And Important Exit Strategies
General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, January 9 tease more leverage, confrontational clashes and important exit strategies.
Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) discusses leverage, while Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) clash; meanwhile, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) talk potential exit strategies.
General Hospital Spoilers: Comfort Attempted
At GH, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) sits anxiously with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), awaiting updates on Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), who has suffered severe burns.
Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) spoke with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Sonny, Jason, and Josslyn, but couldn’t guarantee Michael’s survival.
He mentioned it was too early to make any predictions, as Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) was with Michael, who appeared to be in excruciating pain.
Kristina is understandably distressed about Michael’s fate, especially after the recent losses of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Adela/Irene (Mazlyn).
Alexis does her best to reassure her daughter, likely focusing on the hope for Michael’s recovery, trying to be positive since she doesn’t know he won’t survive.
GH Spoilers: More Leverage
Elsewhere, Martin shares insights with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), suggesting they possess more leverage than she realizes; however, Martin might not yet be aware of the situation with Michael.
He is involved in the custody battle, and Michael has countered Willow’s claims by accusing her of being an unfit mother, all while aiming for a 50/50 custody arrangement, a leveraging attempt. W
illow certainly didn’t strengthen her case by taking Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) to Washington DC without Michael’s consent, which Martin has used to his advantage.
Nina will likely update Martin on Michael’s hospitalization, which could lead to Carly stepping in for Michael and fighting for her grandchildren!
General Hospital Spoilers: Anxious Worries
Carly finds herself at the hospital, clearly in conversation with a doctor—most likely her brother Lucas, though it could be another physician involved in the case.
Tears are welling in her eyes as her anxiety takes over, and she desperately implores, “Please tell me you have some good news!” Earlier, when Michael was rushed in, she had confronted Sonny, accusing him of being the reason their family was in turmoil, insisting Michael had to pay the price.
They had already suffered the loss of Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) due to mob-related violence, but the truth was that Sonny wasn’t the intended target.
It was Julian Jerome (William DeVry) who was in the crosshairs of Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker), and Morgan had unwittingly tried to steal his car that was set to explode.
GH Spoilers: Confrontational Clashes
After receiving a call from her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) , in Washington, D.C., Willow has made her way back to Port Charles. She approaches Josslyn and inquires, “How is he?” referring to Michael.
Josslyn sees right through Willow’s facade, confronting her with a sharp, “Like YOU care!” Josslyn suspects that Willow might be angling for an inheritance if something were to happen to Michael, though he likely already updated his will.
The last person Josslyn wanted to encounter today was her deceitful sister-in-law, who she believes is only pretending to be upset.
General Hospital Spoilers: Unwelcome Words
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is at the hospital anxiously awaiting news about Michael when he encounters Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison).
His demeanor mirrors Josslyn’s confrontation with Willow, as he tells Drew that if he truly wants to help Michael, he should just leave. Once upon a time, Curtis considered Drew a close friend, but now he questions whether he ever really knew him.
It seems that the wealth associated with the Quartermaine name may have gone to Drew’s head, or perhaps his time in prison has changed him. Curtis has taken these factors into account, but the man standing before him is not the friend he once believed he had.
GH Spoilers: Important Exit Strategies
While Jason and Sonny seem to be in a different world than the hospital, they engage in a conversation about potential escape plans—perhaps they’ve found a secluded spot within the hospital.
Jason brings up the exit strategy Sonny previously mentioned, emphasizing its newfound significance as he gestures, possibly toward Michael’s hospital room.
Sonny is eager for clarity, echoing the sentiments of others, and Carly’s theory about him being targeted resonates strongly. He had previously urged Jason to assume control of the mob operations, but Jason declined. It appears that while an exit from the mob might be crucial, it pales in comparison to the urgency of Michael’s condition.
