General Hospital Rumors: Is It Time To Bring Back Johnny?

You can never really say never, right? Now that it’s been confirmed that Brandon Barash has been let go from Days of Our Lives, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder what his next step will be. Some think that he might be headed in the direction towards Port Charles. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

General Hospital Rumors: Is It Time To Bring Back Johnny?

The last time that fans got to see Brandon Barash as Johnny Zacchara was back in 2014 when he temporarily came back to Port Charles. Brandon played the role from 2007 to 2013, but rumors began surfacing sometime in 2012 that he was being let go from the show.

But if there’s anything that we’ve learned about life in the soap opera world, it’s that you are never really gone even if that last nail is hammered into your coffin.

It goes without saying that the internet sure did have a lot to say about the matter and of course, Brandon’s future.

Some took to social media to comment with, “He’s a fantastic actor. Wish him well. Not opposed to him coming back as a reformed Johnny on GH.”

Is Brandon Barash Going Back To Port Charles?

Another critic wrote, “Having him return to GH as Johnny with the new Lulu coming in would be a fantastic idea. I have always enjoyed the dynamic between Dante and Johnny, especially with Lulu caught in the middle. I still remember the scene when Dante and Nathan went to Johnny’s place after his last prison stint to threaten him to stay away from Lulu.”

And then there was this comment as well: “The last time Johnny Z was on GH for a check in, he was a crazy lunatic, if memory serves, he was trying to kidnap someone. They need to fix that and get him back on GH as the regular Johnny Z, because he’s friggin awesome.”

He can definitely act, but I don’t feel this is a huge loss for the show. If he’s disappearing from the show next week, that’s Ron’s writing and has nothing to do with the new writers.”

So far Brandon Barash himself has not made any comments about the matter just yet.
