Xander, among others, has been suspicious of Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) all along, especially that he was such a good friend of Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston).

He’s also been wary of his relationship pursuit, being worried he’s after Maggie Kiriakis’ (Suzanne Rogers) money, although Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) thinks he’s harmless.

Xander grew up being told that Victor was his uncle, and in Victor’s Greek mobster days it was true he did some mob work, and also for Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).

But Xander has worked hard to overcome his past misdeeds, no longer wanting a life of crime, especially now that he’s had a taste of an honest vocation.

When he finds out Konstantin and Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) conspired and altered Victor’s letter and he’s the true heir, he makes plans to teach them a lesson they’ll never forget.

DOOL Spoilers: First He Starts An Investigation And Tells Justin Kiriakis

Xander comes across some evidence that he, not Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) is the true heir through of all sources, Lady Whistleblower!

Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) overheard a conversation and told Xander, and even though he may not be the best source, Xander’s convinced. He decides to do an investigation worthy of a Black Patch op and finds the real letter in Konstantin’s room while Konstantin’s otherwise occupied.

One would think he’d have put it in a safety deposit box, or something-the letter was in a drawer, and it’s not hard to figure out Theresa was his co-conspirator. Xander suspected she showed up in Greece for more reasons than just to get in Alex’s pants-then he tells Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth).

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Justin Kiriakis Will Be Thrilled To Have His Son Back

Justin will be thrilled to have his son back, and Xander offers to take the high road, offering to split the inheritance with Alex once the fraud is proven.

As for proving the fraud, Justin thinks that a photo of the letter can possibly be used for handwriting analysis although the actual letter would be best.

Justin can’t believe that he didn’t spot the discrepancy that showed the letter had been altered-but he was in the midst of fresh grief over Victor’s death, as everyone was.

But Justin does know something that Xander didn’t know about that letter-he had put it in a safe in the Kiriakis mansion. It’s presence in Konstantin’s dresser drawer shows someone broke into the safe-and that’s how they’ll get Konstantin, going after Theresa as an accomplice as well.
