Days of Our Lives News: Ron Carlivati Jumping Ship?

It looks like there are going to be some massive changes made over at Days of Our Lives. And this might or might not all have to do with the fact that Arianne Zucker is suing the producers of the show for neglecting to help her when she accused Albert Alarr of sexual misconduct. Because no one knows if the show is going to survive this lawsuit, there’s some speculation that DOOL’s head writer Ron Carlivati might be ready to jump ship. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Days of Our Lives News: Ron Carlivati Jumping Ship?

Is Days of Our Lives head writer Ron Carlivati leaving the show? That’s what the speculation seems to be. There are a lot of fans and critics out there who think Days of Our Lives might not make it past the summer if Arianne Zucker wins her sexual harassment lawsuit. The actress says that she was subjected to verbal sexual abuse by Albert Alarr. But when she went to Ken Corday for help, she was both ignored and dismissed. Now she’s suing Corday Productions, with a lot of people believing that her lawsuit might actually end the daytime television show altogether.

So, what’s going to happen to Ron? Many fans have been speculating about his next step on social media. Some comments have included, “If I were Ron, I’d want off the sinking ship. The writing is on the wall with #Days. The bridge is burnt with GH since half the cast conspired to get him fired. His only chances of continuing on soaps are replacing Josh Griffith at Y&R or working under Brad Bell at B&B,” along with, “Ron’s writing sensibility would fit B&B more than Y&R. Though he’d probably pitch Hope having a split personality named Dope who would lock Steffy in a cage.”

Another critic wrote, “I like Ron (in parts), but his mix with Y&R would be the death knell. The styles don’t mesh AT ALL. He could absolutely write the rapey, wax-doll-reviving version of Bold using only 6 characters a day, but Brad would never release his death grip on writer position.”

DOOL airs on the Peacock streaming service.
