GH Spoilers Update Wednesday, January 17: Frantic Mothers, Self Defense, Angry Daughters
General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, January 17 tease frantic mothers, self-defense, and angry daughters. Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is frantic, Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) defends herself and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) is angry.
General Hospital Spoilers: Hoping Against Hope
It looks like Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) are at the hospital, after Carly went to support her daughter. Josslyn Jacks (Courtney Fulk) had saved Adam Wright (Joshua Benard) from suicide, when he passed out in Rice Park and she called 911.
Carly had encouraged Josslyn to not try to stop the hospital from calling Adam’s parents, since they are his next of kin even though he’s legal age.
Josslyn maintained Adam attempted suicide because of his domineering parents, nothing ever being good enough for them. Carly is nearly in tears as she tells Drew she hopes to God she doesn’t mess that kid up.
GH Spoilers: Hamilton Finn Says To Leave Adam Wright’s Room
Finn checks in on Adam and tells someone to leave, saying it might be best if they weren’t there. Josslyn had promised an unconscious Adam she’d stay there until he woke up and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) had joined her there.
The hospital may or may not have been able to contact Adam’s parents, but if they were his father (played by Steve Mize) might be there as well. If Adam woke up and is upset by his parents, then it’s not in his best interests to have his parents involved.
General Hospital Spoilers: Frantic Mothers
Esme as frantic as she’s come to the Collins home and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) won’t let her pick up her baby. She tells Spencer she is taking Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay) home-he tells her no, she can’t!
That’s because Ace isn’t there, their father Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) had convinced Spencer that he wasn’t safe with Esme and took him.
Nikolas and Ace had barely left when Spencer found a toy on the floor and rushed to catch up with his father. Instead, he found Esme at the door there to pick up the baby!
GH Spoilers: Doctor Visits
In the meantime, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) is talking to Dr. Sawyer (Catherine Kresge) the doctor from Beecher’s Corners who had treated Dennis Muldoon (uncast).
The visiting doctor doesn’t look exactly helpful or receptive as Elizabeth asks her if she can just stay and listen to what she and Finn have to say? Finn and Elizabeth are hoping that Dr. Sawyer can help verify Finn’s treatment options with Muldoon in the malpractice case.
If she can verify that Finn didn’t miss anything that looked like colon cancer in this patient, that would help their case.
General Hospital Spoilers: Self Defense
Elsewhere in the hospital, Nina tries to defend herself and her actions concerning keeping secret so long that she turned Carly and Drew into the SEC, not Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).
She’ll tell Carly and Willow that one reason she did was because Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) knew, and if they don’t believe her, they should ask him. Carly will be skeptical and Willow will be as well, but maybe not quite as skeptical as Carly.
Nina is trying desperately to try and fix what there may be no fix for, as she found out when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) told her to stay away. Carly probably won’t ask Michael for an explanation but Willow might, knowing he’s kept other secrets and not being happy with him.
GH Spoilers: Face-Off
Meanwhile, at the Quartermaine mansion, Michael and Ned are facing off. It sounds like Michael is having to answer for keeping them in the dark so long for secrets he knew about the SEC situation.
Perhaps he was too proud to admit things although it doesn’t sound like Michael-Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) tells him she’s never been proud. Both Michael and Nina are paying for their sins with their family members’ rejection and judgment.
General Hospital Spoilers: Angry Daughters
Willow appears to be at GH in a doctor’s office as she confronts someone, telling them she wants nothing further to do with them. I
t’s difficult to tell whether she’s confronting Michael or Nina, although Nina was at the hospital while Michael was at the Quartermaine mansion. Willow is very angry and it’s obvious she’s had enough of deceptions and lies.
Neither Michael nor Nina may ever be able to fix what they’ve obviously broken. It looks like payback time has come for both of them.
