General Hospital Spoilers UPDATE Monday, July 3: Nervous News Flashes, Grateful Friends, Prison Preacher’s Welcome

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, July 3 tease nervous news flashes, grateful friends and prison preachers! Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is nervous over a news flash, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is a grateful friend, and prison preacher Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) extends a welcome.

General Hospital Spoilers: Gladys Corbin Dismayed

Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) is dismayed when Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) corners her and asks if she’s finally ready to admit the truth. She obviously thinks Sasha is on to her gambling and milking her financial accounts to do so and pay her gambling debts. Cody actually had told her about this and Gladys framing him over the bracelet later but she didn’t believe him.

It might be the truth about something else that Sasha is referring to right now, but Gladys is obviously nervous. Or maybe Sasha is onto her?

GH Spoilers: Dante Falconeri Is Suspcious

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is suspicious when Mac Scorpio (John J. York) shows him something interesting that’s crossed his desk. It could be something pertaining to Cody, although it could also be pertaining to a new development in another case. Usually Mac doesn’t call someone in about something interesting unless there’s some personal connection. There is something Cody’s being investigated for besides the bracelet Gladys framed him for stealing.

General Hospital Spoilers: Nervous News Flash

At the Metro Court pool, Cody is nervous when Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) gives him a news flash—he’s going to be investigated, likely by the WSB. Scott was going to help Cody sue them for the loss of the Ice Princess necklace, hoping to get some inheritance money for him and Serena Baldwin (Carly Schroeder). Cody had agreed to split it with his half-sister, sharing a mother in Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson).

The catch for Cody was proving he was Leopold Taub’s (Chip Lucia) son and if the WSB investigates the claim they’ll possibly find out that he’s not. Cody asks Scott again, “are you saying they’re going to investigate me?”

GH Spoilers: TJ Ashford Gives An Update

At the hospital, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) gives an update, telling Willow and Michael Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen, Chad Duell) it might be better coming from him. He is so serious as he says it the two are obviously concerned it’s bad news, and TJ and Willow are friends. But the news will be great news – the bone marrow transplant is working. Willow can now go home and have a small amount of visitors, although she will still be in isolation at home.

General Hospital Spoilers: Grateful Friends

Carly is a grateful friend as she tearfully tells Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) she can’t tell you how much this means to her. The two former rivals over Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are now supporting each other over his twin Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Perhaps Sam has found some way for Carly to cover for Drew working in some part of Aurora Media, which they founded together when they were married.

General Hospital Spoilers UPDATE Monday, July 3: Nervous News Flashes, Grateful Friends, Prison Preacher’s Welcome

Carly was fined five million dollars which was going to wipe her out, and she’d have to find a job to pay the bills. Whatever Sam has done for her she certainly is grateful for it!

GH Spoilers: Sonny Corinthos’ Advice To Drew Cain

In the meantime, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) gives some advice to Drew before he goes to Pentonville to begin his three year sentence. He tells him to keep his eyes open, and his chin up. Drew knows that while Pentonville is a prison, he’s been held in worse-he’s been in Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) dungeon for two years. Drew looks grateful for Sonny’s support as he embarks on his prison journey.

General Hospital Spoilers: Prison Preacher’s Welcome

Inside the walls of the prison, Drew receives a prison preacher’s welcome as Cyrus Renault, (Jeff Kober) in a cell, tells him his place is with them. What he means by that is a measure of protection and friendship, since he previously told a guard that Drew was a friend. How Cyrus knew he was coming and why he considers him a friend when they never met is a mystery.

Cyrus could possibly consider Drew a friend as a form of extended family, since he’s involved with Carly and she’s Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) ex-niece through Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary). On the other hand, Drew’s full memories as himself are not fully intact, so it’s possible they did know each other in the past.
