Where Soap Fans Feel At Home

Here’s The Reason Why The Babies Are So HUGE On General Hospital

No, it’s not your eyes playing tricks on you. Those babies really are THAT big. Apparently, there’s a reason why the producers of General Hospital have been casting babies that look like they are at least one year old when they are only supposed to be newborns on the small screen. Here’s what you need to know.

Here’s The Reason Why The Babies Are So HUGE On General Hospital

Anyone paying on Twitter will know that there have been plenty of soap fans complaining that the babies look unrealistic on the show. In fact, Willow and Michael’s baby looked like it could walk and talk the moment that she was born, simply because so many fans noticed how big she looked.

Apparently, actress Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) noticed that there were so many people talking about it on social media and decided to chime in. She says that a lot of rules have changed, thanks to our new post-COVID-19 world. Rebecca put it this way, “General Hospital is no longer comfortable having infants under the age of three months on set. I know it’s hard to look past a ginormous newborn, but I applaud GH for this decision. And we got Baby Ace out of it… a win/win!”

Some General Hospital fans went on to say that the news rules certainly made sense as everyone wants to make sure that all cast members, and especially babies, are kept safe at all times. Plus, newcomers Ace and Amelia are just way too adorable, too! Newborns or not, at leas it’s comforting to know that General Hospital is doing the right thing.

What’s Next For The Newborns On General Hospital?

“Yes!” Herbst added. “Let’s not forget about Baby Amelia! GH hit the jackpot of cuteness with Ace and Amelia!”

With that said, don’t be surprised if you see even bigger babies on set in the coming weeks and months ahead. Watch this space. Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
