General Hospital News: Should The Port Charles Soap Head To An Online Streamer?

General Hospital news suggests that it might time to make some major changes over at the ABC soap. Just because the daytime television show has been preempted so many times in the last couple of weeks, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder if it might be time for the soap to head over to an online streamer like Hulu. Here’s what you need to know.

General Hospital News: Should The Port Charles Soap Head To An Online Streamer?

Simply put, General Hospital fans are tired of all the interruptions they’ve been getting because of the mainstream news. This has been especially frustrating for fans who look forward to watching their favorite soap day in and day out. Yet, seeing how Days of Our Lives has managed to make the successful shift from the NBC network to its online streamer Peacock, some fans believe that it might be time for the other soaps to do the same. General Hospital would be viewed on Hulu while CBS sister soaps The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless would headover to Paramount Plus.

Of course, a lot of soap fans certainly had much to say about the matter on social media. Some comments have included, “I think this is a great idea. I know it’s a small price to pay, but I’m sick of daytime television always getting treated like it’s the redheaded stepchild. Soon enough every television program is going to go to one streaming service or another so General Hospital might as well make the jump.”

Another fan said, “I would actually pay not to have commercials and watch my shows whenever I feel like it. It works for me on Netflix so I’m pretty sure it would work if soaps like General Hospital would go online as well. Everyone is getting tired of having to deal with the delays.”

Another critic said, “After Days of Our Lives left NBC for Peacock, the network lost about 750,000 viewers. Soon enough no one is going to watch traditional television programming anymore. I think the producers at General Hospital should make it happen as well. Let’s do it.”
