The next day, Sharon and Phyllis compare notes about Matt and team up to search for the truth. This implies that Nick claims he no longer knows where Matt is or what happened to him!

Matt has faked his death and changed his name so many times over the years that the Newmans may well have lost count, but that no longer matters to Sharon and Phyllis.

Both of them can see that Matt was sincere in wanting to prove and maintain his redemption and that his head injury was affecting him dangerously.

I don’t trust Nick’s story one bit! If Matt really is safely tucked away in a mental health facility, why is Nick being so evasive? I can understand Nick not trusting Matt after everything he’s done, but taking matters into his own hands could land him in serious trouble.

And if Sharon and Phyllis are actually joining forces, Nick had better watch out! Those two aren’t going to stop digging until they find out exactly what happened.
