Melania Trump Does The Impossible: Critics Left In Shock

In other words, the First Lady has helped forge a ceasefire deal in the Russian-occupied Ukrainian city of Oleshky in order for residents to get the relief aid they desperately need, according to the Associated Press.

The report goes on to say that Melania worked with officials from both countries and was the one to initiate talks after learning about the situation at one of her events back in September.

Per the New York Times, Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian ombudsman and his country’s chief negotiator in the talks, said the ceasefire would take effect on Tuesday, October 27.

The agreement is expected to allow humanitarian supplies into Oleshky and provide civilians with an opportunity to evacuate.

But then again, this is what Melania has wanted to do this entire time.

This, even though she knew that some of her husband’s opponents might not be willing to work with Melania.

All of that said, there’s no doubt that if Melania does remain in Washington after her husband Donald retires from politics, she’s going to be very careful about whom she keeps close in her personal circle.

What’s Next For The First Lady?

That’s because a few months ago there was a report saying Melania Trump is becoming a terror to work with.

She’s reportedly tired of everything being so unorganized behind the scenes at the White House, and that’s why she’s doing things her way, regardless of what anyone has to say about it.

What’s more, Melania Trump knows that she’s only got two more years left in the White House, assuming her husband’s presidency continues through the end of his term, and she wants to make the most of it.

That, and she doesn’t want to be known as the worst First Lady in the history of the country, and that’s why she’s doing something about it before it’s too late.

Meanwhile, the New York Times report on Melania’s ceasefire efforts has put another spotlight on her growing involvement in international humanitarian matters.

Melania Trump has addressed the humanitarian initiative in a written statement, but there has been no confirmed response from her to the separate workplace criticism.

Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.

Annemarie’s Take

Whatever anyone thinks of Melania Trump or her husband, getting humanitarian aid to people caught in the middle of a war is a good thing.

If this agreement actually delivers the relief these families desperately need, that’s something worth recognizing. Of course, the real test will be whether both sides honor the ceasefire and civilians actually get the help they’ve been promised!
