The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Finn Opens The Door To Disaster – Sheila Makes Her Move
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) doesn’t know his birth mother as well as he thinks he does.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) understandably lit into his son-in-law because of what Finn arguably allowed Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) to do.
Sure, there might be some reconsideration after everyone has the entire story. But significant damage took place in Monaco, and then additional trouble is boiling in Los Angeles, California, at Forrester Creations.
Li Finnegan Should Have Known Better
Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) was knocked unconscious by Sheila. Brown’s character also ran her off the road and nearly into a watery grave not that long ago.
So, it would be reasonable to believe that Li wouldn’t be loose with any information that was connected to Finn and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Yet, she was, and Sheila exploited it.
Neither Li nor Finn forced Sheila to buy a last-minute ticket on the same plane as her beloved son. Soapy magic allowed that flight pass to be in first class and directly beside Finn, with willing viewers suspending disbelief because of the clever setup and what they anticipated.
John Finn Finnegan Is A Good Guy
Finn hasn’t proven to be like Sheila yet. He could eventually be written toward a heel turn, with his darker biological side emerging.
Viewers haven’t forgotten that his father, Jack Finnegan (Ted King), was a scoundrel who cheated on Li and then lied about Finn being the baby that another couple was having. All the blood that flows in Finn’s veins is tainted, rather than just those liters that represent fifty percent of Sheila.
However, Steffy was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, and the effects of it are directly related to Sheila. That information allowed viewers to understand why Wood’s character responded so virulently when seeing Sheila on the beach in Monaco.
Yes, Finn should have been far firmer with Sheila after Steffy gave him an ultimatum. Steffy told Finn that he had to choose her and their children or his birth mother. He didn’t choose Sheila but sent mixed signals to her and then made her case to his wife prior to the Monaco trip.
Sheila Carter Projects Two Personas
Sheila is this soap opera’s most notorious villain. Her history will likely always override whatever good she does for the rest of her life.
But Sheila is also a reforming individual. The past tense wasn’t used because this process isn’t completed. The problem for her is that in the mind of many, including Steffy and the Forrester family, Sheila will never reach redeemed status, or at least that’s her current status.
The desperation she feels to have meaningful human connections was caused by Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) cheating on her with Steffy’s mother, Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig), as Sheila continues to remind all principals in the storyline.
Wanting viewers to see Finn’s point of view and think themselves into believing that Steffy could have allowed Sheila yet another chance to prove herself. But Steffy flatly rejects that premise, telling Finn their marriage was over, demonstrated that by forcibly giving him her rings, and then flying home where she commiserated with an also reeling Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor).
