Clearly, we are talking about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) as there’s a lot of speculation suggesting that fans are going to be seeing a different side of the character in the coming weeks ahead, and it’s all for one simple reason.
It’s along been speculated that former Y&R head writer Josh Griffith had his favorite characters on the canvas and Phyllis might have been one of them, and that was mostly because she was so prominent in a lot of the storylines.
But now that Griffith has stepped down from his role, fans are going to be seeing some massive changes. One particular change, of course, will be in the way that fans are now going to be seeing Phyllis.
There’s a chance she won’t be the dark character that she once was before.
It goes without saying that many Y&R fans had a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some even commented with, “I have long posted my disdain for Phyllis because she’s been so psychotic. I like sharp, cunning, devious, methodical Phyllis.”
“The screeching harpy that thinks she’s totally justified knocking someone out and stealing a company has me losing brain cells and I feel ashamed for keeping up with it. That is all about the writing.”
What’s Next For Phyllis Summers?
Another critic of the show wrote, “The best thing JG did was get her back. Phyllis is my favorite soap character and that’s saying a lot considering I’ve been a huge soap fan my whole life.”
“That said, JG has been really bad for her character. Good riddance to him, I say. And bring back the fun Phyllis.”
And then there was this comment as well: “Oh I 100% agree. It became unbearable seeing Phyllis portrayed as such a loser all the time when she was ALWAYS a brilliant force to be reckoned with. I’m really really hoping we get someone who will right this ship.”
