It’s been nearly a year since Prince Harry sat on the BBC and confessed that he would love to be reconciled with his father, and so far, not much is happening.
King Charles is yet to see his daughter-in-law Meghan, or their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in four years, and this reality apparently bugs Harry.
So to fix it, he’s made it known that his and his family’s schedules are free for a summer at Sandringham. But is King Charles going to rush ahead to honor him with an invite?
“Bitter Experience” Reportedly Makes King Charles Wary of Inviting His Younger Son Prince Harry Over To the UK
Via the revelations of a close friend, we have learned that Harry would like Papa Charles to invite him and his family over to the UK.
“He’d like an invite to Sandringham,” a friend told The Times. “If the King was to say, ‘Come up and spend some time with the family’, he’d love that.”
However innocent this request might seem, it was kinda mired when this friend stated that Harry might opt not to go if the wrong people were in the room. So yeah, this very much sounds like Harry playing the “pick me” game.
Anyway, if you’re wondering why he can’t just pack his stuff and come right over, this friend continues, “If he was invited to Sandringham by the King, he would get a package of security that automatically kicks in.”
Regardless, if Harry wants to have his cake and eat it too, he might have to put in more work than bouncing around news outlets, proclaiming how much he wants unity and peace, and then running off to say divisive things the next second.
As a result of Harry’s two-edged attempts at reconciliation in the past, there is now “low trust and bitter experience” between him and several members of his family.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, a King Charles insider shared, “If Harry truly wishes to see his father, he would do well to encourage his supporters to allow such matters to be discussed privately, since low trust and bitter experience in this regard remains one of the principal barriers to progress.”
Sorry Harry, but Papa basically just said that you might want to try harder next time.
