Of course, we are talking about Lucky and Liz, as many fans of the hit ABC soap believe that the couple have only gotten back together for the sake of nostalgia. Simply put, the couple just doesn’t have that same spark they did several decades ago.

Now, whether or not that is true is anyone’s guess, but it seems like Lucky and Liz’s haters have really gotten out of hand, prompting many of the couple’s fans to show up and defend them in force.

As many of our loyal readers can imagine, the internet had a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even commented with, “A lot of the people complaining about LnL2 on running only on nostalgia will turn around and cry about wanting Liason back, like that ship hasn’t been sunk two lifetimes ago and isn’t only running on a fanbase that can’t move on.”

Another fan of the show wrote, “Their history is truly beautiful if you know it from the start, but the writers also have a responsibility to bring in those viewers as well to have them support L&L.”

“They’ve done really well with doing that, but there are going to be folks who are going to kvetch for the sake of it because they can’t connect to the storyline.”

And then there was this comment as well: “I just don’t think Lucky adds much besides being a formerly popular character. JJ does what he’s asked, but I never feel like he’s elevating any material or doing more than the typical thing.”

“There just really isn’t much of a point to him being back. Liz and Lucky seems to be the goal, but they are heavily relying on a magic that occurred in the 90’s that has been redone so much that it simply isn’t special anymore.
