General Hospital News: Kate Mansi Is Now On Contract Full-Time
According to the latest reports, Kate has been placed on contract with the daytime drama series. As many fans are probably already aware, Kate replaced outgoing actress Lexi Ainsworth as the new Kristina Corinthos-Davis on the show. And it seems like viewers are certainly happy about it, too. They have been impressed by how well she’s managed to ease into the role!
Some have even commented on the contract news with, “Great news a great addition to the cast of GH now just give that great storyline she will be fabulous,” along with, “Happy for Kate, but let me get this straight: they got rid of Lexi who they could’ve used more and decided to get someone new to be on more?”
Kate Mansi is a huge name in the daytime television world. As Abigail Deveraux on Days of Our Lives, Kate won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She left in 2017, but returned again in 2018 and last appeared in Salem in May 2020.
General Hospital News: What’s Next For Kristina?
Back in 2018, Kate told Soap Opera Digest that there really was no place like home when it came to returning to her soap opera roots. Asked how long it took her to get back into character when she returned to Salem that year, Kate said, “In some ways I don’t have to work too hard because it’s just naturally there and it’s a part of me that’s never left, but just like true to life, we change and grow and there’s more depth as time goes on. So with Abigail, when I got back, I had to reacquaint myself with everything that I already knew, plus my perspective on how the circumstances in her storyline would play out for her in her psychology and how that would affect her decisions. For example, Marci Miller’s version of Abigail was quite softer than mine.”
