The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victoria Rowell Drops Drucilla Comeback Bombshell – Secret Return Already Planned?

The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates reveal Victoria Rowell, formerly Drucilla Winters on the CBS soap, recently had an interview with Carlos King.

He asked her some probing questions about her past character and what she thinks about her Y&R status.

Drucilla Teased Carlos In Answer To One Of His Questions

Drucilla left The Young and The Restless in 2007, although there was a flashback appearance in 2024.

She and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) fell off a cliff, while in a physical struggle with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).  Sharon was eventually found, nearly drowned in the river they fell into, but Drucilla never was, although her jacket was; Drucilla was Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) mother, married to Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John).

“I’ve never stopped loving performing Drucilla Winters,” she  told Carlos King in a recent video interview-when King asked if it bothered her that she’d never been invited back, Rowell playfully responded, “How do you know I haven’t?” Pressed further on whether she actually had returned, she simply answered, “Cliffhanger.”

Victoria Mentioned Her Deep Connection To Drucilla, But Also Something She Didn’t Like

Despite her deep connection to her previous role on Young & Restless, Rowell has identified one element of the job she’d gladly leave behind.

“Performing your duties extends beyond what happens on set-it requires commitment to inclusivity off-camera as well,” she explained, though she made clear that “the drama and politics aren’t for me.” (This sentiment led to her highly publicized legal dispute.) Yet the beloved performer hasn’t completely closed the door on a potential comeback to the series that defined her career for over ten years.

King inquired about her starting salary of $1,250 per episode and what compensation she ultimately received.

Victoria Would Want More Money If She Were To Return As Drucilla

She described the final package as “respectable,” but emphasized that she “absolutely would not accept that same rate if I returned.

The compensation would need to be significantly higher.” Considering the cost of living back then and what it is now, that makes perfect sense-people can’t be expected to work long hours for less than a certain amount of money in any job!

And actors put in very long hours under hot studio lights as a norm, so it’s not as easy as some would think it would be! Would you be excited to witness Dru’s return to Genoa City, particularly given that Devon Winters (Bryton James) finds himself at a critical juncture and Lily confronts the frightening prospect of her cancer making a comeback?
