General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny’s Stunning Announcement – He’s Quitting The Mob Too?
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will soon make a stunning announcement this week on the ABC soap. What could be more stunning than on the heels of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) quitting the mob, than that Sonny does too?
Sonny Mentioned Talking About Quitting The Mob To Jason
Jason broke the news to Sonny that he couldn’t work for him anymore-at least not in the role of an enforcer, where he has to function like a hit man-and Sonny mentioned quitting.
Sonny himself had talked about quitting the mob a few years back that’s what he was referring to when he was talking to Jason.
Jason seemed to make a lot of sense to Sonny as he was talking about being there for Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and that he was all that Danny had.
Sonny told him that Danny had talked to him about joining the mob already but he turned him down.
Perhaps in the back of Sonny’s mind is how his own mob business had endangered his children over the years, with Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) a casualty.
Now Sonny Has Grandchildren To Consider, And Donna Corinthos Is Still Little
Now Sonny has grandchildren to consider, through Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and his two grandsons Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), and then there’s his daughter Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears).
Plus, there’s his daughter with Ava Jerome (Maura West) Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), and she and Donna are both still little. Ava got out of the mob, but then, she’s the only one left alive of the Jerome crime family besides Avery.
There aren’t any of the Five Families left, and even when Selena Wu (Lydia Look) was still in town, she had banded with Sonny. Sonny’s enemies in recent years have been Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) who’s dead, and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) who’s in jail awaiting trial.
Sonny Still Wants His Piers Back So He Can Run Corinthos Coffee
Sonny still wants his piers back so he can run Corinthos Coffee and rebuild the warehouse, and that was one reason he called Jason over that day when Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) was there.
For the time being it doesn’t seem like there are any mob threats-and Sonny’s even gotten himself on the board of General Hospital, like a regular Port Charles businessman!
Sonny’s legitimate businesses aren’t fronts for illegal activities, although there have been a few incidents over the years in the back room of Pozzulo’s.
Volonino’s Gym is clean as well, although on occasion there have been a few “incidents” there as well. Sonny’s legitimate businesses still make him money, and perhaps it’s time to pull out of the mob, during this time of relative safety.
