The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Refuses to Fold as Victor Launches Scorched Earth Plan
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was thrown by Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) latest threat. But then she considered the big picture and decided not to back down.
Victor believed that the fake emails he produced would scare Phyllis into relinquishing Newman Enterprises, which she calls Summers Conglomerate, back to him.
But his and Victor Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) efforts haven’t resulted in their expected outcome.
So, the squeeze on Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). He was involved in the initial attempt that used his artificial intelligence software program to threaten Newman Enterprises.
But Phyllis stole that from Cane and then used the digital weapon to steal Victor’s life’s work.
Cane Ashby Finally Broke Through
Viewers who are fair-minded or at least open to a degree have to feel for Cane. He finally did something selfless, and it produced Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) long-hoped-for response.
His willingness to get tested, to see if he was a bone marrow match for Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore), was a watershed event. If allowed, Lily would see the man she loved, with his Aristotle Dumas demeanor having been eradicated.
However, legal heat is on Cane because he’s caught in the middle of a power struggle between Victor and Phyllis. So, he could turn state’s evidence, an intentionally cheeky term for this scenario, and ruin Phyllis or try to bring her down if he’s able.
Phyllis Summers Has Lost Everything But Her Stolen Gains
Obtaining Newman Enterprises would be a nice way to put it. The truth is that Phyllis used illegal means and measures to steal the technology that gave her the ability to then swipe Newman Enterprises lock, stock, and soapy barrel.
She wanted to partner with Cane to make that happen. But he changed his mind numerous times and eventually told Phyllis that he wasn’t going to go through with it.
Stafford’s character thought Cane was weak for allowing Lily’s feelings to drive his actions. So, she cut him out of the plan he created and became the unjust owner of Newman Enterprises.
That was followed by giving Newman Media and Abbott Communications away and giving the Chancellor to Victor in a duped exchange.
Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) has cut her mother off. Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) betrayed Phyllis by relaying information to Genoa City, Wisconsin’s restored District Attorney, Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell).
So, she cut off her son, leaving Phyllis with her company and nothing more.
Victor Newman Isn’t Back Yet
It certainly feels like Victor’s oil-based portrait will be rehung on the hallowed wall inside his executive suite this spring or possibly by summer, if this storyline stretches to those hotter days.
When that happens, Phyllis’ smiling face will no longer be present, and she’ll have fallen from her self-created grace.
This tale is particularly outrageous. But it is Phyllis, and her reputation does involve many instances of bold behavior.
She’s succeeded like no one anticipated and plans on continuing her run. Of course, Victor won’t stop fighting for what was wrongfully taken from him, including employing his scorched earth plan to put Phyllis behind bars.
Despite the highly unlikely nature of all these developments, this tale is good soap.
