The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Nick Suffers A Setback – Matt Up To His Old Tricks?
The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will suffer some sort of setback as he recovers from surgery on his broken leg.
Everyone knows that Matt Clark aka Mitch Bacall (Roger Howarth) is as sneaky as Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) was, could he have slipped away from the Abbotts’ security and up to his old tricks?
Kyle Abbott Had The Abbotts’ Security Team Keep Eyes On The Newmans
Unbeknownst to either the Newmans or to Matt, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) had the Abbotts’ security team keep eyes on the Newmans and the ranch, and they captured Matt.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) now thinks he’s got the perfect bargaining chip-he calls Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to make a deal, telling him they’ve got Matt.
Jack has been wanting to prove that Victor was using Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) stolen artificial intelligence to steal Jabot out from under them, and wants their company back!
However, Jack may think that his security team can hold onto Matt, but even though he recognized him from years back and thinks he knows his tricks, he may be fooled.
Unfortunately, even if Victor agrees to the deal and his security comes and gets him, he doesn’t have that cell under the new ranch like he stuck Jordan in!
Matt Is An Expert At Giving People The Slip
Matt is an expert at giving people the slip, had the two Abbott security team members not come across him still in the zip ties, they likely wouldn’t have caught him.
Matt caused the wreck with those zip ties that Nick had put on his wrist, managing to wiggle them just loose enough to get around Nick’s neck, causing the wreck.
Matt had tried to strangle him, in spite of the risk that he himself could be injured, but he’s at a point of desperation where he just doesn’t care! It wouldn’t be surprising if Matt even tried to make a deal with Jack and the Abbotts, if he were to find out about the AI software-and try to make himself the go-between.
But since Jack recognizes Matt, even with his plastic surgery, he will take precautions-at least not to trust him with being the go-between!
Matt’s Best Chance At Escape Will Be When A Swap Is Done
Matt’s best chance at escape will be when a swap is done, and perhaps it will be decided that the Abbotts’ security team will deliver him to Victor-maybe he’ll try a “potty trick”.
What macho security guy is actually going to go into a public restroom with a prisoner, and “help” – a guy can’t pee in zip ties, after all! So, they’ll remove any restraints from Matt’s wrist so he can do his thing and stand guard outside-and Matt might find a window to climb out!
From that point, all Matt has to do is get to the hospital, disguise himself in scrubs ala Jordan, and get alone with Nick. Then, he can do his thing, perhaps steal a syringe and some drug and inject him!
