General Hospital Spoilers: Drew’s Shooting Storyline Falls Flat — Where’s the Big Twist?
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is recovering from two gunshots to the back. Viewers have been waiting for many long months for Drew to finally get his comeuppance, but alas at this point Drew seems to be on the road to recovery.
Many viewers have speculated, over the last few months, that once Drew finally got what he deserves, he will either be redeemed or the reason for his horrific behavior will be explained. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case, as Drew is even more determined and evil than ever.
Why Have Drew Cain Shot If There Is No Payoff?
The Who Shot Drew mystery has been built up for weeks, and viewers were so excited when Drew was finally shot, not once but twice, and he finally got what was coming to him.
It was a very long-awaited scene, and extremely well done. The set-up of the mystery of who shot Drew was laid out perfectly. Nearly everyone in Port Charles had reason to want Drew dead, and were looking forward to him getting the comeuppance we have waited months before.
However, there was severe disappointment amongst GH viewers as Drew pretty much survived the shooting and resulting surgery with no issues- no paralysis, no memory loss, no discovery of a medical issue (like a brain tumor that would explain his abominable behavior), he is already conscious and ready to use his shooting to his advantage.
GH viewers are asking themselves why would Drew get shot if there is no payoff? Drew has done his fair share of despicable deeds, so the viewers want to see him pay for that. Where is the payoff?
Drew Cain Should Get His Comeuppance Sooner Rather Than Later
Although it looks like Drew will get his comeuppance soon thanks to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) and Brick (Stephen A. Smith) framing him for bribing Judge Eva Heran (Tessa Auberjonois), Drew also deserves to go down for things he has done as well. But perhaps that is coming, and it can’t come soon enough for GH fans, who have been patiently waiting for months for Drew to finally get his comeuppance.

Fans were patiently waiting months ago for Drew to be reckoned with. After the wait, the two shots seemed final or somewhat getting what he deserved. It was also hoped there would be a relapse after the shooting when he came out of surgery in flying colors still plotting and manipulating. Writers spent a year + penning and viewers watching this man threat and manipulate people and all we get is the same same persona after a terrible act was put upon Drew. Viewers know in writers minds Drew can do no wrong, but are tired of his ever going story line of getting over on all he attacks. Writers need to give viewers some satisfaction of enduring the Drew Cain Show.

It fell flat cause he didn’t die.
I was so looking forward to the Drew comeuppance, but it never happened. I thought he was going to die. He has become more evil and has no remorse for what he did or is about to do. I’m not sure how much more I can watch. Michael did not shoot Drew. I think Nina did. I hope Drew has a relapse. If Willow marries him I will definitely be done with this soap
I don’t think they will ever let Drew get what he deserves cause the writers don’t care to many storylines, don’t make sense and they put to many irons in the fire
