General Hospital spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Sneak Peek, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) finds out who John Cates (Adam Harrington) really is. He shows up at Bobbie’s and she goes from friendly to suspicious when he tells her he’s with the FBI.
General Hospital Spoilers: John Cates Spent Time With Leo Quartermaine
Previously, John sat down and spent time sitting with Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) when Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) had come by.
That’s when Carly found out that he’d lived in Port Charles before, had an autistic son, and had once worked at Bobbie’s when it was still called Kelly’s. But that was some time before Carly showed up in town, looking for her birth mother Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and being a troublemaker.
John, then called Jagger, had become acquainted and not in a good way with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) who ran a strip club where Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne) worked. They eventually married but then later divorced.
GH Spoilers: Carly Spencer’s Happy And In Her Element
Carly’s happy and in her element, after quitting as the editor-in-chief of Crimson Magazine after much arguing with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) about his vendetta against Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Carly brings a customer his meal and says here you go, enjoy-when Cates walks in the front door; she remembers him from before and says a happy hello.
She tells him to sit anywhere he likes, and he hangs his coat on the coat tree and walks over to the counter and sits down. Cates tells her she owns this place, she shouldn’t be serving tables, and she explains one of her waitresses is running late so there she is. She smiles as she unfolds a towel and says she doesn’t mind serving him.
General Hospital Spoilers: Coffee Yes, Sonny Corinthos Intel, No
Carly asks if she can get Cates some coffee, and he says yeah, and she pours him a cup of regular. She reminds him the last time they met he didn’t tell her why he’s in town. Cates tells her work-and Carly asks him what he does, and he tells her he’s with the FBI-Agent John Cates.
Carly’s smile fades, figuring he’s there about Sonny because she’s Sonny’s ex-wife; she’s had that experience before with Feds wanting intel about him. She will shut him down, and tell him if that’s why he’s there, he’s wasting his time; she’s not telling him anything about her ex-husband.
