GH Spoilers Update: A Father’s Unwise Options, A Mother’s Loving Support, A Wife’s Desperation
General Hospital spoilers and updates for Tuesday, January 16 tease a father’s unwise options, a mother’s loving support, and a wife’s desperation.
Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) chooses unwise options, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) provides loving support, and Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) is in desperation.
General Hospital Spoilers: A Victim’s Confrontation
At the Port Charles Courthouse, after Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) got six months probation, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) confronts her.
Even though this hearing wasn’t about what Esme did to her, Trina was upset and Ava Jerome (Maura West) was livid. Trina looks Esme right in the eye and tells her she deserves to be punished for her crime, and what they have her isn’t punishment.
ADA Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) accepted the plea because Esme didn’t steal anything or destroy major property at Wyndemere when she broke in. The state didn’t want to pay for a trial for something so minor.
GH Spoilers: Unwise Options
Meanwhile, at the Collins’ house, Nikolas has chosen unwise options and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) doesn’t accept them.
He tells his father he may think it’s his only option but it isn’t Spencer’s-namely, returning to going on the run but taking him and Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay).
Nikolas told Spencer he wanted to stay but he couldn’t because he still faces charges for kidnapping Esme and holding her captive in the North Tower of Wyndemere her whole pregnancy. It may have started with Nikolas thinking Esme was the Hook, but it only went downhill from there.
General Hospital Spoilers: Emergency Call
Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) makes an emergency call from the Nurses’ station of GH asking someone if they can please come to GH.
This looks like she’s calling Adam Wright’s (Joshua Benard) parents, he’s just arrived with the ambulance after Josslyn Jacks (Courtney Fulk) called 911. She’d found Adam having downed most of a bottle of vodka and after he passed out, found he’d consumed several blister packs of some kind of pills.
Perhaps seeing their son in a life or death situation will shake Adam’s parents up and see what their pressure is really doing. That is, if he lives through the experience.
GH Spoilers: A Mother’s Loving Support
Carly has arrived at GH to support Josslyn, and she tells her, concerning Adam’s status, this is really serious. The dose he took of pills could have alone been fatal, let alone drinking so much vodka with them.
Josslyn is torn between feeling guilt and knowing she’s done the right thing-all she wanted to do was help Adam but it seems to have royally gone backwards. Adam is fighting for his life although he’s not on life support yet.
General Hospital Spoilers: A Wife’s Desperation
Nina is still at the hospital also, after having bribed Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) to drop his charges against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
She says she will do anything for the man she loves, but little does she know Cyrus’ life is in danger. He may not get the chance to drop the charges against Sonny, although Sonny is trying to stop the hit he put on Cyrus.
Whether Cyrus lives or Cyrus dies, Nina’s marriage may die anyway. She didn’t tell the truth in time for Sonny not to feel betrayed.
GH Spoilers: A Fatal Dose?
In Cyrus’ room, Dex Heller, (Evan Hofer) disguised as an orderly, injects something into Cyrus’ IV line designed to give him a fatal heart attack.
Sonny tried to call Dex to call off the hit, which Dex had tried to talk him out of anyway. Dex had his phone off so Sonny couldn’t do anything but leave a voice mail. Perhaps Dex thought ahead and made sure he had an antidote for whatever he put in the IV line.
General Hospital Spoilers: A Last Minute Save?
Sonny shows up in what looks like it might be a closed hospital room, trying to make his own deal-he asks what someone wants in return, that’s what he’s asking.
Perhaps Cyrus gets lucky and gets a last minute save, and Dex had an antidote, or Sonny jerked the IV line away from Dex. If this is Cyrus, he’ll give Sonny details of what he wants-even though he and Nina already made a deal.
Maybe Sonny saw Nina and she was talking to him when she said she’d do anything for the man she loves? That would make sense for Sonny to bargain with Cyrus and he pay him off instead of Nina.
GH Spoilers: Life Or Death Situation
In the meanwhile, Adam remains in a life or death situation as Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) bends over him and tries to shake him awake.
He calls his name several times, and may be starting heart massage in preparation for a resuscitation although he hasn’t started full CPR.
Adam is clinging to life and fading fast, will Finn be able to save him, or will he be another statistic? It certainly looks like Adam has tried to end his life with that combo of pills and vodka!
