General Hospital Spoilers Monday, January 1: New Year’s Preemption, Co-Parenting Questions, Spilling Scandalous Tea

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, January 1 tease a New Year’s preemption, co-parenting questions and spilling serious tea!

Monday will be preempted for college sports but there will be a new episode Tuesday with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) discussing co-parenting questions and Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) spilling scandalous tea.

General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, January 1 Preemption

Monday will be preempted for sports, with the 2024 Citrus Bowl hosting the Tennessee Volunteers versus the Iowa Hawkeyes from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

This is a college football game with number 21 ranked Tennessee playing number 17 ranked Iowa. There is no information on if General Hospital will show a rerun should the college bowl game be rained out, but that is the most likely scenario.

General Hospital will be back on Tuesday, January 2 with a new episode showing plenty of fireworks besides what Port Charles is watching at the docks! Lies will be exposed and manipulations will be revealed.

GH Spoilers: Happy New Year Predictions

At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) house in the bedroom, she shares Happy New Year predictions with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) who came home from Australia early.

They immediately took their own “trip down under” under the bedsheets, and now they’re still ringing in the New Year in bed and celebrating.

Carly raises her champagne glass and kicks up her heels-well, one, with the rest of her under the sheets-proclaiming it’s going to be a good year! Drew smiles in agreement and there’ll be more celebrating before the night is over, to be sure.

General Hospital Spoilers: Panic Mode

At the docks, where fireworks are going off, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) is worried about more explosions as she tells Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) he’d better get back there! Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) stands behind her and also looks concerned as to what she’s talking about.

She had left The Savoy, where Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is with Lois after she and Olivia argued over telling Sonny about the real whistleblower!

Lois had already told Olivia she’d figured it out – Ned was blackmailing Michael about a secret and the secret was Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) being the whistleblower. She didn’t want Sonny to come after Ned, after seeing him approaching him earlier after Ned and Carly had an argument, and now Olivia’s in panic mode.

GH Spoilers: New Year Surprises

Meanwhile, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) are at home, and it sounds like Brook Lynn’s planning new year surprises.

She tells Chase it’s better to ask forgiveness than to ask their permission, so it’s obvious she’s planning a surprise. Perhaps they are talking about getting married so quickly not everyone can se them get married, expediting so Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) will be sure to be able to attend.

They just had a scare after he collapsed during hot yoga, and he claims he was just dehydrated-but was he telling the truth?

General Hospital Spoilers: Co-Parenting Questions

Back at the house Dante shares with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) they discuss co-parenting questions; she’s grappling with how to co-parent Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) with Drew.

Drew had enrolled Scout in a prestigious private school without consulting either Scout or Sam, and Scout doesn’t want to go to it. Dante asks Sam how she thinks Drew is going to react.

GH Spoilers Monday, January 1: New Year’s Preemption, Co-Parenting Questions, Spilling Scandalous Tea

It sounds like Sam is returning the favor in kind by withdrawing Scout from the private school without consulting Drew! His reaction and response should be interesting indeed-Sam thinks he’s gotten too “Quartermaine”.

GH Spoilers: Willow Corinthos Wants A Favor

Meanwhile, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) has shown up at the Crimson office and wants her mother to do her a favor. She asks a smiling Nina if maybe she could help her out-Nina may never get those holiday bonuses paid, but Willow comes first.

Perhaps Willow needs Nina to watch the children, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Bo Harrison) for her, which Nina would be thrilled to do. It may be the calm before the storm, and Nina knows it after getting an unexpected visit from Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)!

General Hospital Spoilers: Spilling Scandalous Tea

Ned and probably Michael with him will rush to the Savoy to stop Lois, but she’s already been spilling the scandalous tea to Sonny.

She’s already told him his whole family’s been lying to him, and now she’s telling him she knows who really wanted to out Drew and Carly to the SEC. Sonny looks very concerned at Lois as he knows she wouldn’t tell something like that to him unless it was in his best interest.

Sonny and Lois have known each other for years, it was her mother Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta) he got the recipes from that he serves at his restaurant, Pozzulo’s. Expect some serious drama when he finds out it was Nina who blew the whistle!
