For a lot of B&B fans, it seems like Thomas’ proposal to Hope came out of nowhere. That’s because the two hadn’t really discussed marriage in the past. What’s more, Thomas has not really been on the canvas lately (as a lot of focus has been on Eric Forrester and his health problems) and he just told Steffy that he’s fine going at Hope’s pace. Yet, he also just took out that huge engagement ring and proposed to her right there and then.

It goes without saying that this storyline is giving fans all different kinds of feels. Some have even commented on the matter with, “It’s so stupid and makes nonsense based on the last 5 months. I am not really worried about Thomas, I just think Bell wanted to add shock value no matter how illogical it is,” along with, “I’m stunned and I agree. I was confident about where they’re going until that proposal and now I don’t feel so sure. I don’t understand it. Regardless of if people think this is angst for Thope or that they are having Thomas regress after years, this came out of nowhere and there is no denying that.”
