General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Hopes to Pave the Way to Peace, But Will His Guilty Conscience Let Him?

General Hospital spoilers report Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) showed up at Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse after the judge set him free, and it was a big of him — though he wasn’t necessarily feeling that way at the moment.

Michael can’t help but feel like this is all his fault. He was sure that the police must have come into information about the footage on that flash drive — evidence that wouldn’t have existed if Michael hadn’t been so bent on destroying his dear old dad.

It took coming this far for him to realize that isn’t what he really wants. But is admitting that and telling his dad he loves him enough, or will the guilt of what he has done continue to drive a wedge between them and eat Michael alive?

General Hospital Spoilers — Michael Came Clean, Sort Of

Michael’s confession might have been a bit more about unburdening himself than helping his father or his relationship with him.

He wants to get back on track, but it felt like Sonny was still keeping himself at a distance, didn’t it? Does Sonny already know more than he’s letting on about what his son has been up to?

Could he have been clued in all along? Is he already aware that Michael didn’t do any of this on his own? That would certainly be stereotypical of the don to show everyone up in the end and confess that he always knew and was just along for the ride to let them hang themselves.

Nevertheless, Michael didn’t fully confess to his crimes. Riding the fence and telling Sonny just enough to try to mend fences, he didn’t loop his father in on his prior agenda to take him down — nor that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) gave him the assist to do it.

GH Spoilers Remind Dex Knows the Truth

Fans have noticed Dex is acting a bit shifty in recent weeks. Heck, Sonny has noticed. Remarking that he sees Dex’s mind spinning at times and wants to see more of what he’s capable of, Dex is up for the challenge. B

ut he doesn’t necessarily like how his relationship with the don started out. Could Dex also feel inclined to come clean to level the playing field and wipe the slate clean with Sonny — even if it costs the guy his relationship with his son?

Is Dex positioning himself to become more important to Sonny than Michael ever was? Rumor has it this relationship is about to get a lot more interesting in the months to come.

General Hospital Spoilers — The Prodigal Son?

Michael left Sonny’s penthouse looking less than relieved. Did his confession leave him feeling dissatisfied because his entire attempt to tell the truth was wrapped up in another lie?

Are we really looking for a happy ending here? Let’s give Sonny some credit. Since his life-changing experience in Nixon Falls, he has come home a more forgiving person with a slightly calmer nature to him.

But that doesn’t mean he’s not going to rear his head and remind us of just who he is when he learns what Michael did to him. Will Mikey be able to bounce back in his relationship with his dad, or is Sonny going to hang him out to dry and wash his hands of him? Sonny was quick to tell Michael that no matter what, he loves him and he is his son.

Maybe that’s a sign that there is nothing Michael could do that would push Sonny to ice him out. We can only hope. Keep checking back with us for more General Hospital news and spoilers to see how this family feud plays out.
