Vengeful souls in this edition of Los Angeles, California, may choose to believe that Thomas deserves no consideration but he, like Hope, is sensitive.

Maybe Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) fears about Thomas were right all along. It is plausible to believe that Hope’s mind is something Atkinson’s character has had the greatest influence over for a while.

Thomas’ return from New York only happened because Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) died. That caused him to take Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) back to Los Angeles, California.

Thomas’ return to LA included the casting of Atkinson and Samiri. Both actors have proven fabulous, with the latest Hope-Thomas twist being quite clever.

After all the time that Thomas was hounding Hope, driving her up the soapy wall with constant pressure, she has come to see him in a different daytime light. Thomas’ sincere pursuit of redemption was all Hope needed to change her perception of him or did she develop it?

Placing Hope as Thomas’ muse made her the center of his world. Now, after Liam demanded a divorce, Noelle’s character is trying to move on by using Thomas as a rebound.

Thomas’ mental health problems have not evaporated. They have been dealt with and are seemingly contained.

The writing staff had Thomas distract himself with work. Doing that channeled his energy through the productive use of creative design talent.

Hope’s resulting gratitude is real and her feelings for him appear to be deepening. But her parents, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), are concerned because Thomas’ backstory is very complicated.

For various reasons, Thomas has not enjoyed a serious relationship. His 2005 marriage to Gabriela Moreno (Shanelle Workman) and his 2019 marriage to Hope were not based on mutual love.

Hope never truly reciprocated Thomas’ feelings until they were standing outside of the Coliseum in the scene TPTB showed to the audience as many times as Liam replayed it in his head. She followed that show of affection with a deeper connection in LA and has expressed her desire to maintain a romantic link.

But the audience is wondering how Thomas react if he achieves couples’ status with Hope or if they eventually split on B&B.
