General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, August 31 tease guilt trips placed, curiosity is piqued, and a girlfriend is upset! Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) delivers a guilt trip, Diane Miller’s (Carolyn Hennesy) curiosity is piqued, and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is an upset girlfriend.
General Hospital Spoilers: Brook Lynn Quartermaine Lashes Out
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) lashes out to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) about her grandmother, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). After the experience in the courtroom with her grandmother taking Deception Cosmetics to court for stealing the idea for “The Deceptor” for her, she’s fed up. Tracy had blackmailed Brook Lynn to steal confidential files on the product and deliver to her, and she has to wonder if that’s what her “evidence” is.
She wouldn’t be surprised if Tracy took those files, altered them, and gave to Jackson Montgomery (Walt Willey) as evidence of intellectual property theft. She tells Chase she cannot live with her for another minute!
GH Spoilers: Guilt Trips
In the meanwhile, Olivia fights a losing battle trying to put a guilt trip on Tracy! She asks a stoic and smug Tracy if she doesn’t feel even a little bit guilty for what she did? This could be about the Deception lawsuit or about something related to Ned Quartermaine aka Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth).
It was overhearing Tracy telling Olivia that she was going to take out commitment papers on Ned that made him leave the Quartermaine mansion recently. Tracy never admits being wrong or doing anything wrong, the fault is always someone else’s.
General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Jerome Is Frustrated
Ava Jerome (Maura West) is frustrated, and asks someone “So, where is it?” Apparently she is at Wyndemere and frustrated that Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) body hasn’t been found; Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had been trying to find it.
But Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) revealed he was the one who rescued Nikolas and put him on life support, to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) who also happens to be Nikolas’ half-uncle.
Why hasn’t he told Ava-and why is Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) still blackmailing her over killing Nikolas? There is something very strange going on with the Gatlins and the way they’re treating Ava!
GH Spoilers: Someone Misses His Dad
Someone else makes a confession as Ava, Austin and Mason discuss Nikolas. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) admits to his great aunt Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) he cannot imagine his life without him. Spencer misses his dad even though they weren’t getting along at all when Nikolas disappeared.
But with Kevin and Laura Collins (Jon Lindstrom, Genie Francis) unable to find him, the grim possibility he’ll never be found seems inevitable. Until something happens to give him hope, he’ll continue to be a father to his little brother.
General Hospital Spoilers: High Hopes?
Back at Wyndemere, Austin tells someone, likely Ava, not to get their hopes up too high. They must be talking about the missing Nikolas and what happened to his “body” even though Ava had confessed everything to Sonny. As the months have drug on, the possibility of Nikolas’ “remains” ever being found dwindles.
Austin never has revealed the truth about Nikolas to Ava. It seems he and his cousin Mason rival the Cassadines in duplicity!
GH Spoilers: Curiosity Piqued
Elsewhere, Diane’s curiosity is piqued as she talks to Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). It sounds like they are talking about Diane’s efforts to get Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) a retrial or appeal based on judicial prejudice. Drew did take a plea bargain, but didn’t expect such a hard sentence, and the judge did appear to want to make an example of him. Robert asks Diane what she thinks she could do about it now, so long after the sentencing.
General Hospital Spoilers: Upset Girlfriend
At Kelly’s, Josslyn is upset with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and makes no qualms about it. Dex has been doing dangerous and intense work for Sonny lately, including tailing Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Tailing a former spy is a bit out of Dex’s wheelhouse, and he’ll get a warning from Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) later.
Josslyn is upset as she asks him when are things not going to be intense when it comes to Sonny? The answer to that is probably never!
GH Spoilers: Mason Gatlin Reveals Plans
Still at Wyndemere, Mason reveals his plans, likely to Austin, although Ava may also be there as well. Unless Cyrus realized the intel Austin delivered in a pill bottle was bogus, it may have something to do with what they wanted with Pikeman. Mason says it’s all going down tonight, and if Cyrus did realize the intel was bogus, it will likely be an entirely different “something”! That may be the same thing that sends Dex scrambling up a flight of stairs!
