Days of Our Lives spoilers say that by now, everyone has had a chance to get themselves a little more familiar with Peter Porte. The actor, who is best known for his role as Dimitri on the hit Peacock soap, has blown away fans with his talent and of course, his good looks. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Days of Our Lives News: Get To Know Peter Porte A Little Better
Peter has said that he loves his new home in Salem. Recalling his first scene on Days of Our Lives, he told Soap Opera Digest, “I’m in an interrogation room with Steve Burton [Harris] and Stephen Nichols [Steve], the two Steves that are pros and icons in the genre, and it was a very intense interrogation scene. So it was intimidating, but they were both incredible and put me at ease.”
He continued, “The speed at which you are thrust into the pool and expected to perform is intoxicating and it’s nerve-racking, but they showed me the ropes that first day, and it took me a second and then you get the hang of it and you’re like, ‘Oh, it’s just like riding a bike.’”
Luckily, fans will get to see more of Peter in the future. He was placed on contract as of the May 22 episode. Peter made the revelation during his interview in the most recent issue of Soap Opera Digest.
Days of Our Lives News: What’s Next For Dimitri In Salem?
Now, as far as what’s next, remains to be seen. When asked about his character, Peter has said, “The fun thing that I’ve experienced over this is taking this really aggressive, broken, hardened character and he now is very expressive as to what he is feeling. He is still a broken person, but he has a very good heart and he’s just learning how to use it.”
