General Hospital Spoilers UPDATE Friday, June 23: Excited Curiosity, Dampened Expectations, Unexpected Requests

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, June 23 tease excited curiosity, dampened expectations, and unexpected requests. Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) is excited and curious, the Quartermaines’ expectations are dampened, and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) gets an unexpected request.

General Hospital Spoilers: Excited Curiosity

Sasha is excited and curious as she asks someone who’s the new client, is it anyone she knows? She had just got some encouragement on her progress as the psychiatrist assessing her readiness to dismiss her guardianship came by after Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) left. Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) had been encouraged with her progress, after Maxie took a call from her daughter Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher).

Maxie may have returned and be updating her on a new Deception client, since it certainly sounds like that’s what she’s discussing. Sasha has been happy and excited to get back to work, but will she be able to get her financial life back and her guardianship dismissed?

GH Spoilers: Protective Confrontation

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will be surprised and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) shocked as Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) engages in a protective confrontation! He’s been listening to an encounter that’s been getting more and more fierce between the two of them, arguing over Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and his treatment. As Tracy is tearing into Alexis, he rounds the corner and tells her to back the hell off! He’s not going to let Tracy hurt his friends and loved ones, she already got a taste of an angry Greg when she was castigating Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard)!

General Hospital Spoilers: Lonesome Lovers Catch Up

Elsewhere, lonesome lovers catch up as Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) catch up over dinner. She flirtatiously fiddles with his shirt button as she tells him she owes it all to him. Martin was a driving force to find Lucy when she was presumed dead, and keeping her safe when she was found and rescued.

It got pretty scary for a while there, especially when he went out of town and she got cabin fever, but it all came out okay. Now that Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) no longer an issue, the two lonesome lovers can catch up.

GH Spoilers: Dampened Expectations

Unfortunately for the Quartermaines, their expectations for Ned’s recovery are dampened when Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) has some bad news. Olivia Quartermaine, (Lisa LoCicero) Brook Lynn Quartermaine, (Amanda Setton) and Chase look serious as he says he’s afraid there’s no easy way to say this, after his examination of Ned. It sounds like Ned may have some kind of weird retrograde amnesia, it’s possible it’s from emotional trauma but he still needs neurological tests. Ned may not have jumped in the pool on purpose like his mother suggested, but the mind does what it needs to in order to protect itself.

General Hospital Spoilers: Ned Quartermaine Reacts

Meanwhile, in Ned’s ICU room, he reacts as someone gives him a shot in the arm, wanting to know what they’re giving him. If he still needs brain scans or neurological tests it could be contrast for a cat scan or it could also be a sedative, since he’s been pretty mean and brusque!  He seems alarmed even though he knows he’s in a hospital and has a bad headache and that he’s had a fall.

Perhaps he doesn’t trust the person giving the shot? Or he just doesn’t want it?

GH Spoilers: Unexpected Requests

Dex is surprised at Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) unexpected request. She tells him that she and he both want the same thing. It sounds like she’s trying to get him to do something to protect Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) from being turned into the Feds by Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Nina obviously doesn’t know that is no longer an issue even though she knows Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) turned himself and Carly’s skating with no consequences. She doesn’t trust Carly wouldn’t have turned Sonny in and that’s why Drew turned himself in!

General Hospital Spoilers: Josslyn Jacks And Sonny Corinthos Touch Base

Elsewhere, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Sonny touch base, with Josslyn telling Sonny very sincerely that’s the best that she can do right now. Perhaps Sonny is trying to broker some peace between Nina and Carly and Nina and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Joss, although that’s a daunting task.  Sasha already tried to broker peace between Nina and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Willow couldn’t forgive.

Josslyn’s mother is going to need some support because the outcome she and Drew expected for his turning himself into the Feds isn’t what they thought it would be. This is going to be hard on Carly and Sonny will offer to be there for her, even in spite of Nina’s silent protestations.

GH Spoilers: Outrage

Meanwhile, inside the courtroom, Drew, Carly, Michael and Zeke Robinson (Gavin Houston) were blindsided when after the Feds agreed to the plea deal the judge turned it down! Instead of six months in a minimum security prison like Spring Ridge, the judge ruled three years, likely in Pentonville, although it could have been worse-he could have gotten twenty! Carly is outraged and shouts, she’s sorry, but there’s been some kind of mistake! Drew will stick to his guns but there may not be a lot that they can do, the judge has ruled and he’s pretty adamant.
