The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Why Did Cameron Kirsten’s Storyline Only Last One Month?

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that while some villains last forever in this fictional town of Genoa City, others barely last a month! In fact, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder why Cameron Kirsten’s storyline only lasted a few short weeks. Was it because the character’s portrayer, Linden Ashby, wasn’t available to stay any longer? Here’s what you need to know.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Why Did Cameron Kirsten’s Storyline Only Last One Month?

As many fans know, it all started off when Sharon Newman received an anonymous gift in the mail. Before she knew it, her former stalker, the deranged Cameron Kirsten returned to Genoa City. He poisoned Faith Newman’s cat and then kidnapped the young girl all within one week. This forced Sharon to take matters into her own hands in order to get rid of Cameron once and for all. Still, for some fans, it seemed like this entire storyline happened in just one quick minute.

Needless to say, a lot of The Young and the Restless fans had plenty to say about the matter on social media. Some even commented with, “Was Linden only available for a month? Is that why this story came out of nowhere and is being sped thru? Fire Josh and Amanda!” along with, “I was hoping for a Sharon/Chance pairing, but now I’m confused on if they’re still gonna go that route, or go with a Shick reunion. As long as Sharon is getting some love from the writers and on my screen more than Phyllis, I’m good with that. But this seemed to move a little too fast.”

Another critic wrote, “This could have lasted a little bit longer. I feel like the timing was forced. As guessed, what an incredibly stupid and botched story. We could have had Linden on for longer. He’s a great actor and yes, Sharon deserves more time in the spotlight. I feel like they rushed this.”

Of course, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
